Don't want to give the plot away but the title of the film makes sense by the end of the movie.

The UK gala screening at Odeon Leicester Square this morning had a little bit of red carpet leading up to the entrance, and some entertainers outside, acrobats and a guy on a one wheel segway. Quite promptly, the doors opened at 10am. Luckily, my friend's journey was quicker than expected and she arrived at 9.20am and started the queue, and soon followed a very long queue which they split into two as it got too long, although the queue that got split up were allowed in first, so those in our queue protested, especially everyone had been there before them! Amazingly, evilzadi managed to arrive spot on, after a mammoth journey, leaving home at 7.30am, to collect her little cousin to bring her to London for the screening. Well done evilzadi, and lovely to spend time with you and your adorable little cousin. Lovely to see elski and mandmc10 too.

Anyway, once in we race upstairs to be the first at the green screen, get the Baymax balloons, wristbands and get arm's painted (was told no face painting done now due to health and safety), got our nails painted. On the seats were popcorn, vita coco kids drinks, and a voucher for one free Big Bento box at Yo! Sushi.

There was an adorable animation before the main film, about a dog that loves to eat human food, but all that is turned on its head when his master falls in love.

I thought Big Hero 6 was excellent. Lovely family entertainment. Beautiful, fun and wonderful characters. Love Baymax, the robot. So heartwarming and loveable. Love the girls characters, they are smart and independent.

So many people leave as soon as the credits roll that they miss the after credits scene.

DId not manage to see anyone remotely famous, although I did run into Birds of a Feather, Linda Robson in the ladies!

Also on the way out, was given a box of Alpha Bites cereal. So a bumper day after picking up a few more bags of popcorn and quite a lot of free Big Bento box vouchers.

baymax :-D time to get to the disney store.... but have to admit wasabi was kick ass

Avisute and I went to the Den of Geek screening on Saturday. Had gone in with high hopes about the movie and thought it was even better than I expected. Loved every minute of it. I certainly rate it as high as my other favourite animated movies; Wall-E and UP. Loved all the geeky references, all the little hidden easter eggs, the characters were great. Would happily watch this again but have tissues ready this time!

The afternoon was made extra special by having on of the directors and producers come to a Q&A for 30 minutes afterwards and they seem geninuely happy to be there and answer all our questions. I ended up asking a question about how Fall Out Boy got involved and doing the single for the film.

As you can probably tell I really really enjoyed this film and would happily give it 10/10

Another splendid release from Disney Animation (When was the last time they turned out a turkey?). If Wreck-it-ralph was an homage to 80's computer games, then Big Hero 6 is an homage to 80's Sci-Fi movies. All unique characters that had their own roles to play. The bad guy was very creepy in the mask. Lots of laughs and a few heartbreaks as well. Entertaining from start to finish.

The short film beforehand is my favourite one so far. Better than the Blue Umbrella a few years ago.

Saw this at Uxbridge on Sunday morning, we all really enjoyed it, as has been said previously baymax was lovely, heartwarming and also quiet funny. Would definitely recommend this film.

We also enjoyed the short film.

I enjoyed this more than I expected, mostly down to the relationship between Baymax and Hiro which was particularly endearing and provided the heart of the film and most of the comedy. I thought the visuals looked great with amazing attention to detail (even down to the bubbles in the champagne glass). I wasn’t so keen on the villain storyline which felt rushed and as if it was included to enable a big showdown at the end. 8/10.

Saw this on Sunday and to be honest I thought it was poor. I also thought that the short film was a very bad example to be setting little kids as it was really nothing other than a junk food advert in my opinion. Personally I'd have banned it I thought it was so wrong.
Back to Michelin Man. Well it had a reasonably good story until it turned into some sort of Superhero pretend Avengers mash about 3/4 of the way through. Thought it badly lost the plot and with it the humanity and promise it had shown earlier on. The ending ruined it for me. Np,ease do not let there be a sequel or a franchise of the super plonker army or whatever they thought they were. If it stops another one 'I am satisfied with my care' now go back in your box and don't cone out again.
