I've been grilling him now about the brownies for 10 minutes but he says he doesn't know what you're talking about, you're just ganging up on him and can he go to sleep now please! :giggle:

I really disliked the red carpet footage. I really felt bad dragging my bf to this, especially because he ended up delaying his experiments so we could get there on time. I wonder why so many trailers were shown when we were about to watch the film?

Anyway, we enjoyed the film. The CGI and stunts were good, but the storyline was a bit too predictable. To be honest, I wasn't expecting such a happy ending, but then I remembered it was a Disney film. 7.5 /10

I liked the film alot, although I thought the action scenes were shot too close to the action, it took away from it when all you could see was a blur of armour, arms and legs. Jake looked very buff and Gemma Arterton looked absolutely beautiful in the movie. I've not seen her in the latest Bond, maybe that's worth a watch?

8/10

I have now seen Gemma in Clash of the Titans, Alice Creed, Quantum of Solace, Tess of the D'Urbervilles (on TV) and this. Good to see an English actress doing so well.

Saw this at Ocean Edinburgh last night.

Having seen Alice in Wonderland in Glasgow on their "live red carpet" action, we arrived late so we only had to endure the last 30 minutes of it, which by all accounts seemed to have been the sensible thing to do. 30 minutes was quite enough.

Never been to Westfield London but me and OH both agreed it looks just like all the other Westfield Malls we have ever been in from Australia to America! it looks nice, but it's just a generic mall!

Anyway, the film. We didn't get to sit where we liked they were filling it up row by row and you had to sit where you were told to. We were ok as we came in and got to start a row so got to sit in the middle but it seemed pointless overall as only 55-60% full.

We both really enjoyed the film, yes it's based on a video game but tehy did well creating a story of sorts and it was so action packed it really raced along and held our interest.

Jake Gyllenhall did a very good English accent and the whole cast looked like they had fun which really helped.

8/10 from us up North!

that's what I was thinking this morning, like Transformers 2, so quick you can't see a thing. I would have liked purely for artistic reasons, to have seen Jake in glorious slo mo :shifty:

Oh and the Red Carpet, the only person I saw apart from the cast was Katona. finally Alex Zane is a prize wally. Putting on 'old school' glasses does not make one appear intelligent
preferred locations Shepherds Bush, Westfield, Notting Hill, Central London, Wimbledon, Islington, Wandsworth thanks

Maybe Sky should stop doing the live red carpet footage thing since nobody cares (I mean, seeriously, I really couldn't give a toss about the Duchess of Kent arriving or not) and just let us have tickets right in time for when the movie starts. It didn't start at Vue Greenwich at 18:00, it started at 18:15 - we endured 1 hour and 15 minutes of it.
