A Royal Night Out

#1 Post by stuartboy » Mon Apr 27, 2015 8:48 pm

Hmmmm. Had high hopes for this.
It oscillated from a really good biopic to bloody Benny Hill!
I loved the soundtrack.
The main actors were all perfect in their roles, but as for those two bumbling officers? They were simply embarrassing. As for that tower of champagne glasses? Who on earth thought that would be a good idea in the script? I have little doubt that never happened, and added nothing to this whatsoever.
Couldn't help thinking that Jack ought to have been Jack O'Connell. Part who have suited him to the ground.

Entertaining and fun.

Jolly nice. What fun.

"Inspired by true events" - probably only 10% truth in it. Plus were they trying to channel Roman Holiday? But it plodded along nicely and was funny now and then.

I bet when dear old Lizzie sees this she'll say: " Ectschualleh, it wasn't quite like dett!" Hope she isn't too cheesed orf.

Did people really carry on living in bombed out houses as if nothing had happen? That couple sitting down to dinner in their third floor dining room with no walls just looked silly. No Elfen Safety in those days I take it.

Also do you think that Lilibet would be so quick to say that her family were all Germans, particularly on VE Day?

I loved it. I thought it was hilarious. P number 2 was my favourite! Brilliant acting from all of them

Yes it is. If you are viewing on a computer, SFF now remove cinemas when tickets have all been claimed. The full list of cinemas including those where no tickets are available can be seen if you look on a phone.

The list is taken from the Daily Mail website.

The printout of my ticket says I need a copy of the page in Heat magazine to validate the ticket. Did anyone not have that when they went???
