Show Film First

#1 Post by hdaniel82 » Fri May 14, 2010 1:35 pm

Due to the recent problems we have all been experiencing with showfilmfirst.com, I took it upon myself to write them an email indicating our collective displeasure. They actually responded which is nice! See below

ME:
"Dear ShowFilmFirst Team.

I have been a regular user of the seefilmfirst website to date, which I have always used with no problems. However the showfilmfirst website seems to be incredibly buggy and problem filled.

Using the upcoming "She's Out of My League" film, I have had to plug in the code 4-5 times to bring up available tickets. It wrongly gives error messages that there are no tickets left and then you plug in the code again minutes later to find there are tickets for all locations. Can someone please look into this? I have never experienced similar problems with seefilmfirst, and while it is a much more basic website, it is much more user friendly.

Regards

xxxxxxxxx"

THEM:

"Hi XXXX,

Thanks for your email.

The new site is still in the final stages of beta testing so please be patient while we endeavour to get it perfect.

This issue is being fixed.

Please do continue to report any issues you have with the new site.

Regards

Jane

I've just sent them my review from Street Dance 3D - letting them know that only approximately 80 seats were taken in the 330 place screening room. I wasn't very happy about that when so many people from this site were unable to get tickets.

I've been having so many problems with the Show Film First website, See Film First was much simpler and easier. Lets hope they fix it soon.
I do like all the trailers they have on the home page though!

I don't live 10 miles from any cinema, it's about 15 to the nearest and around 25 to nearest city ones. So guess I will be changing my post code to one near to one of them!! possible a code will reach me - fingers crossed

Just what is going on at showfilmfirst? This morning I was able to log on and find out that there were tickets left in some locations (Not Middlesbrough - I should be so lucky), using the code 742493.

I've just come back to have another try, and am getting the message "invalid ticket code"

The mind boggles. :wall:

The rebranding of Seefilmfirst as Showfilmfirst is definitely a retrograde step for me. Apart from all the glitches others have reported (which I've not experienced in view of what follows), I discovered to my disappointment yesterday that I am not allowed to access the new site from work, whereas Seefilmfirst was fine. So no more booking tickets for myself or others, and for me, Seefilmfirst was the best source for these. Grr!
