Re: Terminator Genisys
its true, its not a good movie.
plenty of bangs though if that what you want, fun if you are prepared to yawn through the needless exposition. its so loud in imax!
yeo expect lots of stolen scenes from the first 3 movies - stealing scenes IS NOT A HOMAGE. its means you cant think of anything new to add.

Re: Terminator Genisys
I actually really enjoyed this, particularly having not seen any of the originals in such a long time. I adored T2 when it first came out, and remember those opening scenes so well with them being used to demonstrate and compelling to to invest in Dolby Pro-logic sound system. What a shame that a similar scene was used here but without the sickening skull crushing march and rousing signature soundtrack.
I was amused the the repeated "grin" and followed the twists such as there were. Still not exactly sure how the wee boy fits in nor why Reece had to speak to him at the end. (I did get who he was though).
Not a patch on the originals, but a good effort none the less, particularly as I pa*d only £2.50 for it!
Shame I never thought to stay for the mid credits. Damn and blast.
An ok 6/10 from me.
Edit: end credit scene isn't worth anything. Just seen it on YouTube.
Also - I never spotted Matt Smith at all. I did see his name in credits, but presumed it was another one.

Re: Terminator Genisys
Matt Smith appeared early.
Spoiler
Show
As they're waiting for Reece to enter the time machine you glimpse him in the crowd. Then you see him attack JC as Reece vanishes and says "You didn't think it would be that easy, did you?" Later he's the adult image of skynet.

Saw this at the Everyman cinema in Canary Wharf and enjoyed it. Not quite as good as T2 but makes sense as a 3rd sequel to the first films. 7.5/10.

Re: Terminator Genisys
Not as bad as I expected. It's not the worst in the Terminator series. That in itself deserves praise. That god awful spoiler heavy trailer killed any potential suspense. If I had to order them, I'd go;
1. Terminator 2
2. Terminator
Then some way later...
3. Terminator Genisys
4. Terminator 3
5. Terminator Salvation
1. Terminator 2

3. Terminator Genisys
4. Terminator 3

I quite enjoyed this. It was silly and noisy but it was entertaining. A good night out!
