I saw this shortly after Thomas the Tank Engine this afternoon and I certainly was impressed. I did however feel that it began to drag as plot wise it was a one trick pony. The vivid colours and animation were stunning but it all became a little samey before the grand finale.
Am I alone in feeling slightly disturbed by the dark deep chasm that was the place where memories go to be forgotten. The constant disappearing into puffs of smoke of the grey orbs that were memories bring lost forever was more than a little disconcerting. Oh and don't get me started on that scary clown who reminded me of Tim Curry's Pennywise in It.

The volcano starter cartoon was horiffic! Not good.
The main film was ok, but a great idea stolen from The Numbskulls in The Beano if anyone else remembers that from the 80s?!
It was just ok.
5/10 from me

Yeah, now volcanos have feelings too? And how typical that the wrinkly old boot got a lovely young volcano girlfriend instead of at least a middle-aged one!

I thought the movie was ok-ish but I only gave it 4/10. It was brought down by the nauseating opening short which made me want to walk out.

I slept through a good 20 minutes worth and missed nothing. Lol. Thomas didn't induce Zzzzzz. Neither did Arnie. So wasn't that I was tired or anything.

The Numbskulls! Love it, alythonian.

Inside Out felt quite long considering it had a 94 minute running time. I thought parts of it were quite ingenious and different aspects of brain function (dreams, thoughts, memories etc) were creatively imagined on screen but it didn’t have the magic ingredient which elevated this above other animated fare. It was enjoyable for what it was with vivid colours but not one that I will want to watch again and again. 7.5/10.

I loved it. Loved the volcano short at the beginning, really put a smile on my face. Not an easy task on a Sunday morning. Kids stayed quiet throughout the film, which is a good sign and lots of LOL's from the adults. Thought the green/disgust character a bit of a waste and pointless, but apart from that 9/10 from me.

nice to see science treated so positively and beautifully in a movie. Though I should really say psychology.

The animation was lovely, vivid and colourful, but the emotions characters were very typed cast. Also it seemed to drag a little in the middle, but loved the scenes when we went inside the adults heads.

I also found it quite emotional too, and I actually could not stop the tears rolling, however, a child was brawling his eyes out after one very disconcerting scene with the imaginery friend, and things just lost at a puff of a smoke!

7/10

The short film at the beginning was quite lovely, with a catchy song, and a lot of FMUKers were here at the Odeon Greenwich, for this early Sunday morning screening: nice to see everyone!
