Daddy's Home
Well, the Sun+ tickets with Q&A turned out to be a premiere, so a lovely surprise for me. A walk on the red carpet where I bumped into Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg! The Sun+ Event was taking place in Screen 6 and I think the premiere with the VIP guests and glossy ticket holders were in Screen 5.
The Q&A was an event in itself, with Alex Zane compering. Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg were in their element, so funny, and engaging the audience. They took a liking to bevvy's grandchildren who almost stole the show with poor Alex Zane left in the background. Before they left, they tried to get a hug from bevvy's 8 year old granddaughter, but she was obviously too shy to do so! A lot of the questions were from people who were actually in the audience so Alex let them ask the questions themselves and they are such good questions. One was if you were not acting what would you do? Mark immediately said anything in construction, he used to be a plumber, and Will said he would go to lapland, and invited everyone in the audience to join him there! haha.
The film was lighthearted and silly. I wouldn't say you will be rolling with laughter but it was quite fun with some cute acting from the young siblings. 6/10

Re: Daddy's Home
Saw this last night thanks to Mr Tic and Mr Tac.
I was expecting a really lame American non comedy but I was pleasantly surprised. Firstly no bloody DiNero in it! but also because it was rather good and entertaining. Far from hilarious, but you voile take your granny without too much concern. I can think of worse ways to spend an hour and a half.
Will Ferret and Marky Mark bounce well off each other and the kids are fun too.
I'll give it 5/10

Cineworld Unlimited is cheating! ;-)

Re: Daddy's Home
We saw this last night with Meercat code at Odean WH, so 2 tickets for £5 which is pretty good going. Unsurprisingly, the cinema was busy.
As SB said this wasn't nearly as bad as I feared it would be. Yes, the big gags are all in the trailer, but it's still reasonably well put together and everyone dies a good job.
A perfectly reasonable way to spend an hour and a half.

We saw this tonight with a Daily Mail code. Only 4 people in the cinema including us. Really enjoyed it and thought Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg had good chemistry. 7/10

Re: Daddy's Home
Definitely a case of switching off for this one and not asking too many questions about the plot or plausibility of the various situations. The helplessness of the mother is also cringe worthy.
Was short on big laughs but enough daftness to keep you entertained for the duration. 6/10
