We are delighted to have a few complimenatry tickets to a couple of exciting new shows at the Churchill Theatre, Bromley.

Jekyll and Hyde – Tue 23 – Sat 27 August
Looking forward to your feedback on this version of the classic. Dr. Henry Jekyll believes that there are two distinct sides to man – one good, one evil. Intent on separating the two, he succeeds in his experiments. However, in doing so he unleashes ‘Hyde’, a monstrous and uncontrollable alter ego.

Featuring an all-star cast including Gary Turner (Emmerdale), Kim Taylforth (Bad Girls, London’s Burning) and Marcus Hutton (Brookside).

Prepare for the fright of your life in a dramatic new adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic and atmospheric Gothic melodrama.

Russian-born soprano Ilona Domnich is a rising opera star, chosen by Opera Now in 2014 as one of ‘a new generation of sopranos who are destined to have impressive careers.’

In this recital, Ilona will explore the characters and musical interpretations of her operatic heroines, as celebrated in her recent Signum disc, Surrender: Voices of Persephone; ‘my operatic women and their voices help me examine their journeys and choices.’

This concert is followed by an informal Q&A which will be conducted by Ashutosh Khandekar, editor of Opera Now magazine.

Tuesday 6th September 6.15pm drinks reception | 7pm recital.

Experience the inside of St. Paul's Cathedral with a free poetry performance under the dome on Monday 26th September 6.30pm.

In collaboration with St Paul’s Cathedral, Poet in the City has commissioned five of London’s greatest poets to lift the lid on this cultural giant, to reimagine its history and its place in the contemporary public imagination. We are proud to present the first ever performances of these new works spanning first encounters and famous names to revolution and regeneration in a spectacular free event under the Dome.

This event also launches an audio exhibition, which physically maps these new poetic perspectives onto the St Paul’s canvas, designed by Kieran Lucas and Lizzy Leech.

Hosted by spoken word saviour Laurie Bolger, join us for a unique, toally free, opportunity to hear live poetry in this iconic setting and lay the roots for its future.

On the Saturday 10th September at 7.30pm we have just a few tickets for Finnish soprano Soile Isokoski. On Tuesday 20th September at 7:30pm James Gilchrist tenor; Anna Tilbrook piano and on Saturday 24th September at 7.30pm Principal Players of Aurora Orchestra.

Finnish soprano Soile Isokoski – Saturday 10th September at 7.30pm.

Recognised for the sheer beauty and vibrant intensity of her singing, Finnish soprano Soile Isokoski has achieved distinction on the world’s operatic stages and as a recitalist of striking imagination and eloquence. She returns to Wigmore Hall with a programme complete with songs by Schumann and Yrjö Kilpinen, one of the last century’s most gifted composers of Lieder.

James Gilchrist tenor; Anna Tilbrook piano - Tuesday 20th September at 7:30pm

James Gilchrist and Anna Tilbrook continue to develop their dynamic creative partnership with programmes that mine the depths of human experience. Their latest Wigmore Hall recital includes song-cycles by Mahler and Schumann, and a new commission by Julian Philips, acclaimed for his feeling for poetic language and musical sensitivity.

Principal Players of Aurora Orchestra - Saturday 24th September at 7.30pm

Aurora Orchestra’s imaginative programmes and support for new music combine here, aided by a Wigmore Hall commission from Anna Meredith, herself a fearless genre-hopping, boundary-pushing composer, and Ligeti’s Ten pieces for wind quintet, a collection of intense avant-garde miniatures completed in 1968. Beethoven’s Septet still sounds as fresh today as when it was first performed over two centuries ago.
