Enjoyed it, the songs were theatrical rather than catchy.

Agree that the chicken should have done something more meaningful, it should save the day really rather than relying on the guy because that undoes much of the underlying message.

It does a weird thing where it repeats the idea of "will I, won't I" several times at the start AND end of the movie but put it down to musicality rather than having very little story to tell.

OK, am I the only one who didn't like this film?? I found it rather unimaginative we've seen so many better films than this. I found it overly.... yes, sickly sweet and politically so correct it nearly hurt. I agree it's beautifully animated and it wasn't boring but just did nothing for me.

Well it's bright! Colourful doesn't come close.
As others have noted it's very musical theatre in songs. Nothing memorable or stand alone.

Hey! Who thought Moaner's gran was the old woman off the Dolmio ads? And her Dad? A fat Peter Andre. Lol.
Didn't catch who played the chicken. He was bestest.

Really enjoyed Moana, never bored throughout and marvelled at the bright colours and wonderful animation. Though Moana's songs were the best and the actress can really belt it out. The Rock's singing was a little more dubious :) The little coconut shell baddies were great too, very minion-esque. Solid 8/10

I didn't enjoy this film. After checking out the scores it received on rotten tomatoes etc. etc., I was surprised. The animation itself was amazing. The story didn't seem anything new to me. It was very "American". Maybe a harsh 3/10

I really enjoyed it, I agree some of the songs were hit and miss but Jermaine Clement as the crab had me roaring (helps if you're a FOTC fan) and the 'short' before it was excellent; all too relatable

missed a sunday screening as the neice took ill sat night. but thanks (and I mean a BIG THANK YOU) to Beate for the tix to see it tues. this screening was not 3d so no headaches here.

the film was fun. i loved the ending. also loved the chicken, thought it was an excellent sidekick.

if you have a choice and are near Greenwich odeon there is a song booth where you can belt out one of the two big songs (either by Moana or Maui) for free. said they will be there till sun (i think). They email it to you immediately; I did maui's 'wonderful' and they sent me a 24 sec clip of myself doing karaoke. really fab if you have kids with you. i giggle every time i watch mine.

yup. a solid addition to the disney canon. 7/10.

Saw this today at a screening using my Limitless Card. I knew would probably have lots of chidren but they were very well behaved unlike one particular dad who kept using his phone . . . until I eventually asked him to switch it off. He did!
I found the film to be good for a Sunday afternoon and was absorbed for most of the film. I don't think any of the music is memorable but the characters and animation were very good. It was nice to watch a Disney film which was new and not a story I already knew.
Marks 8/10
