I adored the whole look of the film too some of the details in many of the scenes was fantastic. I even had a wee lump in my throat at one point.
Must check on IMDb now to see why it was given a PG cert. A future classic in my opinion.
Seemingly it was given a PG because of the cross dressing scene.

Having read Insight I think it is more likely this that made them award a PG.
IMITABLE BEHAVIOUR
There are infrequent scenes of dangerous behaviour, including Paddington hiding from a villain inside a refrigerator and riding on a skateboard while holding on to a bus, as well as a brief scene of a boy strapping fireworks to his shoes.

I think that kids will love it, but for me it didn't live up to expectations.

Looks like this is one of those rare occasions where we agree on something

.
I thought it was very well made but the story & characters were very mediocre and had little in the way of depth.
Performance wise everyone involved was no more than solid and despite a relatively short running time I did find myself clock watching on multiple occasions.
Overall it's a slightly sub par family flick only did enough to get a 6/10 from me...

Great children's film, squarely aimed at children and the child in you. Wonderful!

I loved this - thanks to the O2 Priority code for Cineworld.
I hadn't really been interested in seeing Paddington, as I didn't have any nostalgic feelings about the tv programme from my childhood, but I thought I'd give it a go. I thought it was really cleverly done, the bear was brilliantly lifelike, Peru was lush and lovely (not dark at all!), and London looked sumptuous (although very soggy most of the time!)
I thought there were lots of funny bits, and plenty to keep adults amused. There was a little girl in my screening who was crying at one point, so maybe the PG rating isn't too daft after all? I thought the idea of a taxidermist character was pretty scary too!
I think there were a lot of sweet moments in this film, and enough action and laughs to keep me engaged. I thought it was really good and I'm glad I got to see it. I'd love to take my nephews to see it, and I just hope they will enjoy it as much as me!
