Latecomers to screenings and other cinema nuisances
Re: Latecomers to screenings and other cinema nuisances
Whoever decided that nachos were a thing for the cinema in this country anyway? Just because it's a thing in America. Eh - this is Britain. Not Mini Me America.
Why does the cinema experience have to include the stink of popcorn and hot dogs - in the foyer as well as the auditorium?

Re: Latecomers to screenings and other cinema nuisances
Children can and often are a damn nuisance but mostly it is down to lazy parenting. Allowing a child to run amok in a public area is wrong. A baby crying should be taken out immediately but by then they've already disturbed others.Mega Ron wrote:Children are fine.
There is however nothing worse than someone eating Nachos at the cinema.
I'm a recent convert to Nachos which I do eat quietly but I agree that cinemas shouldn't sell noisy treats. Now they sell crisps so you have to contend with rustling as well as chomping.

Re: Latecomers to screenings and other cinema nuisances
I think some parents are worse than the kids. For example, why o they think it's acceptable to change a kid's smelly nappy in public, eg on the bus etc. The next time I see a parent do that, I am going to shout 'what's that mother-f@@king smell of sh!t!!' and maybe repeat the word 'sh!t' a few times so the kid copies it
.

Re: Latecomers to screenings and other cinema nuisances
There are lots of things I don't mind because most nuisances are fleeting and the movie is longer and better than the nuisance. One day however my patience was sorely tested when a large group of children came in on a school outing and showed NO RESPECT at all. A susseration of chattering continued and several children got their phones out and started texting their friends. I got off my seat and gently asked the boy to save the messaging until later whereupon the little darling told me to f£&ok off. I immediately found the accompanying adult who exerted almost no control over anybody and complained to him about the boy's behaviour. It was eventually sorted out but I got no apology and really ruined my afternoon. Self-entitled morons should be wheeled away and fed to the zombies.

People using the torch on their phone isn't new but is damn annoying, however, I saw a man walk in late with a group of people recently. He shone a huge torch around. He had actually brought a ginormous industrial type of torch with him. WTF??

Re: Latecomers to screenings and other cinema nuisances
I have never understood why anyone would still want to watch the film when they are 30 mins late. Especially when it is a 90 minute movie - make the most of enjoying that hour!
Re: Latecomers to screenings and other cinema nuisances
Yeah same here, when me and my friends went yo see the Hunger Games in cinema on opening night. It was packed out like expected and it was a big group of us lets say 8. We got our tickets but not all of us we're sitting together there was like 2 seats in between our group so 2 had to sit on their own. Instead of doing that we took the 8 consecutive seats next to each other because the people with the other 2 seats hadn't arrived. Then about 40 minutes into the movie they come and demand their seats- they argued with us 13 year olds for about 10 minutes, where my fr Ends were reduced to sitting on the floor. Not a great way to celebrate my birthday!

Are you saying you sat in someone else''s allocated seats then argued about moving out of them? They may have been late but you caused the nuisance if you were in their seats.CarefreeDreams wrote:Yeah same here, when me and my friends went yo see the Hunger Games in cinema on opening night.
