Pleasantly surprised by this film. It was slow to start and at times seemed to wander, but it provided quite an innovative approach to a well trodden genre. Some scenes were quite unpleasant, but were still watchable. Due to the linear narrative, it was easy to follow and get hooked into the different characters and their motives. Worth seeing 8/10

I went to see it a 2nd time as I missed the first 10mins at the Q&A screening.

I noticed on 2nd viewing that the scene before the breakfast was anna going to the bedroom to open the shutters to find her not there

Saw this last sunday 23/4/17 DOK Brighton. I had no expectations apart from knowing it was not related to shakespeare. I describe it as powerful indeed, artistc and dramatic.. much was said with little words, a glance... loved it..

Can only echo the other posters here.

This is superb film. Dark, intense and certainly not for the faint of heart, although there are some genuinely funny moments.

Very tempted to see again, given that the screen curtains were not pulled back far enough and several feet of the film on either were lost in the folds of cloth, rather than being on the screen.

Must-see movie of the week.

Superb film. She wasn't a person to mess with.

I also didn't twig about the mushrooms either but someone reminded me she had gone out early one morning.
What was this obsession about keeping her indoors and not allowing her to go out??

I did find the little boy a little strange at times with the way he kept grabbing her hand and telling her how beautiful she was. But his grandmother's behaviour was way out of line.

If the room Katherine slept in was "too big for her" how the hell would it be a suitable size for a small boy? Also the way in which she treated Sebastian when he brought the young boy in was very strange.

Not what I was expecting at all but in the best possible way. More of a thriller than the Sunday afternoon TV drama I anticipated.

I agree, roseddy!
I hadn't really read anything about the film prior to seeing it and was pleasantly surprised. It was definitely a film to make you think!
