I really enjoyed this film, but it's definitely not for everyone. Sally Hawkins gave a great performance, and the rest of the cast were strong too. I love the score by Alexandre Desplat, and would definitely be happy if it won Best Score at the Oscars next week. The cinematography was beautiful, and the overall color palette of the film was nice.

That being said, I didn't enjoy it as much as GDT's other work, such as Pan's Labyrinth, but it's a good film.

Really enjoyed this. The creature from the south american lagoon who loves an egg. Had the feel and colour palette of an old french film, it looked great throughout. Top soundtrack too. 8/10

I really enjoyed this film. I went into it not knowing what it was about so it was quite a revelation to me. The story is quite strange but it does work as I found myself rooting for the sea creature and empathising for the characters. All the cast acted well and the cinematography was well done. Definitely one to see especially if you like something out of the ordinary. 8/10

excellent. As with all del toro movies, the sets and characters are lush. They really are "creations", thats the right word, but unlike some previous efforts, the story was really well told to.

lot of similarity between the visuals of the Bioshock game and the movie.
