Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

Surprised there isnt already a thread for this but then again, if you havent seen it then I probably wouldnt bother.

Pure nonsense from the off. The story starts back on the island from the last film three years on. A volcano is erupting and all the dinos will be wiped out if the world doesnt act. The world doesnt want to act but Bryce Dallas Howard, in a total reversal of her previous character, now fronts a dino welfare group who team up with Ben Lockwood from the original JP film, to rescue 11 species and move to another island and let them go about their business in peace.

Of course twists are afoot so things pan out somewhat differently while we contend with the most annoying computer geek guy ever, an idiotic bonus hungry mercenary, surprising low bidding wars (don't wanna spoil too much but 10-25m, seriously, that would only b*y you Ronaldo's pinkie toe), and a wasted opportunity on a throwaway storyline involving Lockwood's grandaughter.

It's a pure action overload that will excite teenagers but little else. 6/10

So, obviously evil corporate suit man finds out the new Jurassic World movie is grossly overbudget so he hatches a fiendish plan to sell off the dinosaurs to world wide market of mainly german and japanese old men for £10-25 million to recoup the loss. But he is thwarted by an 8 year old girl plus a well timed ambush from a T. Rex as usual.

Seriously, just accept that as the plot.... because the actual plot is way worse maddeningly stupid at least once every five minutes of the 2 hour duration, and was likely written by the 8 year old mentioned above.

Oh there are 3D dinosaurs so it dont matter. 3 stars.
fav 5 films of the year - Tenet, Bill n Ted 3, Invisible Man, JoJo Rabbit, ?
