I was lucky, I've never been turned away from any venue so far, and I was never asked for an ID or something I dont have (like a times+ card), but I know it's always a chance for dissapointment ...
You can email seefilmfirst and get them to change the name of the person on the ticket which might be an option. Here's what it says on the FAQ page on seefilmfirst:
"If you want to change the name on your ticket, please send the name of the person that will be using the ticket to
changeofname@seefilmfirst.com"

They have not announced it as such and I certainly hope not. However, all the band members do have other projects that they work on so I think they will tour less. In the past they have always toured for long periods of time and in the early nineties they very nearly split because of the pressure of touring. Since then they have cut back on the amount of time they tour for by having longer breaks between countries etc. During their stint at the O2 they have not performed every night on a row but Jon has regularly said in interviews that he perfers the thrill of performing live and he oftens bemoans that the music industry does not do more to promote genuine live concerts. From this I guess you could say he is certainly not ready to give up performing just yet!
As a note The Circle Tour will consist of 135 concerts in 30 countries and is the longest Bon Jovi tour since the Jersey Syndicate Tour in the late 1980s.
Also Richie Sambora said in a recent interview "the band will be back next year with another tour and a greatest hits album". He revealed: "This thing is not stopping. We're having so much fun. We're going to come and do a proper stadium tour of the European continent next summer and we're going to release our greatest hits around fall with some new tracks on it."
Therefore................in answer to the original question (sorry I got sidelined) MOST DEFINITELY NOT!
Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning.

Thanks for clearing that up! ...never seen them live myself but from videos I ve seen on youtube for the O2, they look like they are really enjoying themselves which is always a good sign!

I went on the O2 website out of sheer curiosity and ticked "best tickets available" and got the £51 ones, no idea where they were in the arena.
I did the same through ticketmaster website and it showed the same tickets 51 pound each. It's the floor seating, something like block A3 which is in just in front of the stage on the right.
No one will be seating there, it will be "standing" seats for tonight.

Yes, to exchange your tickets, they will need some form of ID. A lot of people are collecting tickets brought with their credit cards, so they use those, but if the tickets are free, then the name has to match an ID. Can you not give some form of ID (i.e. credit card) to your friend, if he is seeing you before, that he can use? If not, best is send an email to SFF as kevinknapman suggests. Hope this helps.

Just checked my Mamma Mia review and I said back then: "You don't need to show ID, just hand your printout over."
Darn, may be it is just me, I always get asked for ID!

May be one look from you and they would not dare ask you!
