I almost thought you were gonna say a short walk.Beate wrote:The only cinema car park I know there is for the Odeon Greenwich which is 5 minutes further down the road but you can get back to the O2 quite easily by bus.
During concerts, they actually patrol the Greenwich Odeon carpark so I wouldn't advise anyone to park there as if you get caught, you'll have to p*y the penalty.
Just opposite the bus station is carpark 4 which you only get your money back for if you had a pa*d for cinema ticket although that contract was with Vue and now that the o2 cinema is owned by Cineworld, you cannot assume that the rules still apply.
Just up the road from North Greenwich Station on the opposite side are p*y and display bays that are only in operation until 6:30pm. If you like walking then you should be okay to park there for as long as you want providing it's not within the restricted hours.

Yeah, looks like it has changed hands so no more Vue@O2. Glassy, thank your mate for the info
but warn him about the cinema being no more as he'll have to plan for a different scenario too.
Cheers Bevvy...that looks like the best option for us!

Hmmm...better tell my friend about that. So Syd and the rest, best not take a risk with my friend suggestion, as I dont think he realises the cinema and car park might be shut!!!bevvy wrote:I should be careful if you are going for the cinema car park deal. The O2 is no longer listed on the Vue website. (It was a Vue cinema last week, I'm sure) It is now listed on Cineworld's but there are no films listed as showing this week.
It could well be that Cineworld have taken over and it is closed this week for rebranding/refurbishment.
Every cloud has a silver lining though - I came across a free screening code for Edninburgh whilst on the Cineworld website!

The car park would probably be open - you don't have to go to the cinema in order to use it. People will get a nasty surpriseTheyCallMeMrGlass wrote:Hmmm...better tell my friend about that. if, having parked there, they find they have to p*y the full rate because the cinema is not open.

Re: Bon Jovi concert
Why wouldn't it be open? I received my Screenrush Newsletter earlier today and the Vue Greenwich is listed as normal with tons of films for the next week.

Re: Bon Jovi concert
Maybe it is and they haven't got round to adding the films to the Cineworld website. There is a page on the Cineworld website for the cinema though and under parking it says the followingBeate wrote:Why wouldn't it be open? The O2 has two official car parks.
North Greenwich London Underground station NCP car park (500 spaces) is available as well : Monday - Friday £6 per day. Saturday & Sunday £3 per day.
no mention of any discounts
