Beate wrote:Told my colleague she wouldn't need ID but put the tickets in her name anyway as she was a bit anxious about it. And she just texted me she got asked for ID! Just as well then... I hope Mr Glass will be alright with my other tix.

They made a big fuss about my id. I didn't have a bank card with me but I handed them about 6 other cards - gym pass, library card, taste London card etc before they would give me the tickets. Strangely they then handed me marialionza's tickets without any id at all - I had her printout as well as my own as I was due to get there earlier than her.

I could not see very well due to tall people in front of us. I enjoyed it but I actually preferred Kid Rock to Bon Jovi.
I just noticed this on the British Music Experience website

'When We Were Beautiful'
Exclusive Bon Jovi photography exhibition
7th to 26th June 2010

To coincide with Bon Jovi’s 12 night residency at The O2 this summer, we're thrilled to host an exclusive photography exhibition featuring never seen before images, personally curated by the band.

Throughout June, we're hosting this unique exhibition documenting life on the road for Bon Jovi, one of the world’s greatest bands. The exhibition includes two floors of images, shot by band insider Phil Griffin who has enjoyed unparalleled access to the band over the last two years.

All of the images have been chosen and put together by the band and feature shots from the first ever official Bon Jovi book When We Were Beautiful as well as many previously unpublished and private photographs.

In addition to the exhibition, from 7th to 26th June, the British Music Experience will be showing teaser screenings of the Bon Jovi documentary, also titled When We Were Beautiful and directed by Phil Griffin, which chronicles life on the road with the band and their 25 years together.

Going to see Bon Jovi?
See the exhibition for free AND
visit the museum for only £5
(saving £10)!
Entrance to the ‘When We Were Beautiful’ exhibition is free for all fans attending the Bon Jovi concerts at The O2 on presentation of your concert ticket and you can enter the museum for only £5!

Got back about half an hour ago and I loved it!!!!!

Did not stay until the very end though because I was concerned about getting back/not getting squashed on the tube!

Did not get ID when getting tickets...she didnt even look at my print out properly.

Did anyone notice the MJ memorial outside....and if so did anyone see the MJ impersonator with the umbrella?? He went to town with his outfit!

No I don't think it's worth p*ying to go to the British Music Experience. I've been several times for free though - once I got free wine and on another occasion I had great fun in the studio where you get to learn to play the instruments. I loved pretending to be a guitarist with Nirvana and then a drummer with Blur (or was it the other way round?)

Wow that was a great show! My friend saw them last week and said they played a few different songs this time round. As well as the old classics I also loved their new stuff too. Good opening act from Kid Rock.

Bevvy, I was ok, they didnt ask me for ID :) And if they were your tickets, why thank you!! I actually got there at 5:20 and got my tickets without any question asked, woohoo. Jpeg, At the Michael Jackson altar, there was a fan tribute show and they were doing several group routines of MJ classics such as Thriller, Billie Jean and the "This Is It" choreagraphy for "they dont care about us". That was great fun to watch and I also laughed at a couple of "very big" fellas doing the MJ routines!

It was funny seeing Kid Rock at the beginning shoving everyone off each instrument and playing them himself. He's quite a charismatic performer.

But Bon Jovi just rocked, I feel like dusting off my keyboard from the attic which I abandoned a decade ago and jam with my mate to his songs again....

And thanks to Beate again for these tickets (and Bevvy!). It turned out to be one of my most cool bday presents :)

Still another totally brilliant playlist!

Brilliant! Sounds like the MJ tribute would have been fun to watch! When I was in that area there was not very much happening :(
Happy to hear you have had a great birthday! :D

Its so nice to hear that quite a few FMUK'ers got to go to this concert. What a wonderful opportunity seefilmfirst have provided!

Thanx to everyone who gave out codes/tickets :D :D :D :D
