Used our Mirror tickets to see this in Edinburgh on Friday night.

I was a bit aprehensive after some of the reviews but actually really enjoyed it.

It was a tad slow to start off and tehre was maybe just a bit too much setting of time place scene.

However once it got going I thought it was well done and well acted throughout.

Maybe as I'm Scottish I didn't notice what others have said obout Russell Crowe's accent veering its way round England. It sounded fine to me.

An entertaining evening and a good film.

8/10

I'm glad you also enjoyed the movie.

However, when I stated I was generically British, I meant vs distinctively being a Kiwi (as with Crowe). I'm specifically Scottish, and I definitely heard the accent variation.

Just seen this using my mirror tickets.

I was looking forward to seeing this as it had ridley scott and Russell crow. Must say how disappointed I am! There was nothing special about the plot nor were there any memorable characters! Very predictable and you just knew what was going to happen. 5/10

finally saw this tonight using my mirror tickets, how strange is it not being able to sit in any seat? Saw the dashing preston and delightful mrs preston for a nice natter and do u know what? I LIKED IT! thought it was an interesting idea to focus on the back story even though it's total fiction. Why aye the acting and accents are dodgy, and it was a bit off putting seeing the ginger doc from ER erm who i thought was tryin to master a scottish accent and i did think the french king was jay hunt from masterchef and i'm sure i spotted white van man in an aerial shot but all in all a good romp. Boyf gave it 8.5/10 and i didn't even have to b*y him a yorkhe-total win.

We saw this last night, using our Daily Mirror tickets - phew - just made it in time before they expired! I think there was a great deal of poetic licence taken with the historical facts centring around the life of Robin Longstride, but putting all the historical inaccuracies to one side, the film was highly enjoyable. It was a jolly good romp, and to be quite honest, I hope they are going to make a sequel, because I'll be up for it.

9/10 from me. o/

OH and I saw this at the Metrocentre tonight courtesy of the Mirror’s free ticket promotion.

I loved this film, the unrushed way in which the story was unwrapped, the burgeoning relationship between Crowe and Blanchett, the fantastic cinematography, and those really intense scenes that gave a taste of what it must have been like to be in the field of battle in those days. The volleys of arrows from the archers were just amazing, both visually and aurally.

It was a long film, but was yet another one where the time just flew by. I enjoyed every last minute of it. And, as many others have mentioned previously, both elsewhere and in this very thread, it’s just begging for a sequel.

Can’t come soon enough for me. Bring it on, Mr Scott!!

Really lovely for OH and me to meet Spanner and her OH again. It was great to have the luxury of time for a proper chat in the corridor on the way out. Much better than trying to rush a few words inside the screening room. :D

A solid 9 out of 10 from me on this one. o/

And for some bizarre reason I can’t get that old TV theme tune out of my head:
“Robin Hood, Robin Hood, Dum, Dee, Dum, Dee, Dum! “

Just seen this at the Trafford Centre, using my Mirror tickets, film ended with an hour to spare before they expired!

Wasn't too keen on the film, I knew it was a different take on the story and the battles were suitably epic, but just wish it had been more fun. Left me missing Mr Costner and his mullet.

Film was slightly out of focus on left hand side, so we ended up getting two free passes - always worth complaining reasonably and politely if something is not quite right.
