Had a good freebie day today... freebie lunch and when we got there it was a free mezze starter as well as a free main and drink.
Then at Holborn got a free Barclays bag for life (competing with Metro Bank) and then popcorn off Metro Bank. Think it was only that Barclays as it was competing with Metro.
Sorry only just got home or else I would have posted about the above freebies

Re: Freebies
Tomorrow apparently Barclays Bank is doing some sort of free day out at Trafalgar Square. The leaflet gave no extra details and when I read it, it was too late to find out the time or any extra details as I was nowhere near the people who'd handed it out.
This is the link and I can't see (unless I am blind) what time it starts or if they are giving away anything worth going for LOL!

I subscribe to the Pitcher and Piano newsletter... not that I'm an alchie or anything.
Anyway, I got an email saying you could get one free drink from their Summer First Aid guide if you downloaded the voucher they sent with the email.
So if anyone is thirsty, sign up for the newsletter!

The Scoop at More London Free Festival - Free Theatre
4 August – 5 September

Suzanna Rosenthal for Steam Industry Free Theatre present
Toad Hall!
From the original story The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame adapted by The Steam Industry Free Theatre and the young people of Southwark.
My Toad wants to be famous. The fastest, coolest, bravest, brightest, most celebrated toad on the planet... the only trouble is celebrated for what? Because poor Toady's yet to find anything he's good at.
But that won't stop him dragging you and his friends Mole, Rat and Badger into a series of scrapes in the summer sunshine designed to unearth his (very) hidden talents and get London singing his praises.
However, when his ancestral home, Toad Hall (played in our production by Mayor Boris Johnson's City Hall) is threatened with an invasion of stoats, weasels and newts our man must knuckle down and employ every spiffing prank, wicked wheeze and jolly jape he knows to repel the jealous wild-wooders and wily amphibians at the gate.
Suitable for all ages this is family fun in the great tradition of the award winning Steam Industry Scoop shows, packed with jokes, tunes, puppets and celebration. This summer even the mighty Thames will play a role when wind stirs the willows of our own riverbank home.
And don't miss the kids of Southwark devising and performing their own tale of the big green fellow and the search for his X factor at lunchtime in the Scoop on 15 June.
This is one toad that won't be in a hole for long!
Performance dates & times
Thursdays – Sundays at 6.00pm
Running time 1hr approx
Signed performance
Thursday 26 August, 6.00pm
Don Juan in Love
From the play by José Zorrilla
The handsome Don Juan is a devil with the ladies and a demon with a blade. He can seduce a pretty girl in a heartbeat with a flash of his smile... and silence an enemy in an instant with a flash of cold steel.
Join the great swordsman and lover as he charms and murders his way through the high society and low dives of history in a feast of raucous comedy, swash-buckling adventure and heart-stopping drama.
But as the sun sets over the beautiful More London amphitheatre the ghosts of the Don's victims will gather seeking vengeance. The aristocrat must learn that there are consequences to a life of breaking hearts and destroying families... and in the London premiere of the beautiful 1839 dramatisation, by celebrated Spanish romantic José Zorrilla; it's a brave young woman who proves to be both his downfall and chance of salvation.
This much loved tale has inspired many other great writers down the centuries from Steam Industry's action packed new production draws inspiration from them all to present a fast-paced new version for a city troubled by its own mixture of machismo and violence.
Our post show discussions are also set to explore the sexual politics and knife culture of London today.
