My favourite is the Richmond Curzon (aka the Richmond Filmhouse). Comfy seats, often not many customers (I think I'm antisocial), nice coffee and up market chocolate bars on sale.

Oh I dig you, I am very antisocial when it comes to annoying filmgoers!

I quite like the new Vue Westfield, for some old style grandeur I do like the Gate Picturehouse in Notting hill

Im looking forward to checking out the Everyman Hampstead and the Electric in Portobello at some point.

I saw "the final" at "the empire" in Leicester Square. Screen one is amazing. I think it's a 4k projector.

The old ABC Cinema on Sauchihall Street in Glasgow was the the best cinema ever! Beautiful art deco interiors, circular auditorium, velvet curtains and fab acoustics! Unfortunatly it had to close and is now a concert venue.

Mine would be Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles.

Only passed through LA for a day and only two places were a must see - Grauman's Chinese Theatre and the bowling alley where The Big Lebowski was filmed (it's no longer standing, was knocked down to build a school apparently just after we left)

Just seeing all the stars handprints and thinking about all the premieres and history made me giddy, and on top of that the film I saw was Star Wars!!!

Unfortunately it was the second prequel, but the atmosphere in the vast, grand screen was electric beforehand. When the 20th Century Fox music started up and then the main Star Wars theme I really felt like a kid again.

The less said about the film the better, but I still loved the experience.

Locally my favourite is the Everyman Belsize Park. The seats are so comfy and the staff are friendly and nice. I also like being able to take a cup of tea into the cinema. I don't go very often as it's expensive (£12 I think) and there are very few freebies there.

In contrast....
I was at the O2 Cineworld today and the corridors stunk of wee!
