Nightmare.... first of all I was halfway to the Metrocentre then realised the screening was at the Gate. Got to the Gate and Met Andrews and Paul.. the queue started getting longers and then was informed they knew nothing about the screening and did not have the film. The manager did however issue us with guest passes to compensate but was rather gutted as had just been and b*ght the Girl with the dragon tattoo in preparation... grrrr.. Nice chatting to the FMUK'ers though x

7/10
Plot was a bit all over the place, the ending was anticlimactic (when the film cut to credits it was a big "Is that it?" moment), but Fire is every bit as well shot as Tattoo and Lisbeth Salander remains a compelling protagonist with bite. Should Fincher's remake of the original be a hit, I can't wait to see how he'd go about with this one.

Saw this in Birmingham today. Thoroughly enjoyed the film. I had seen the TGWDT previously. So todays film does answer some questions. Now in OH's good books. He hated Scott Pilgrim and Going the Distance and he's glad to miss The Last Exorcism. Have to go see it on my own.

Went to see this today in glasgow there were no staff at the screens to point us to which screen we were going to had to ask some very nice people who were there to see same film and they were very helpful as the lady downstairs had told us it was screen 5 but when we got there it was screen 6 instead no 1 asked to see our ticket thats a first for me .. Totally agree with AYBG on the ending was a little underwhelmed by it to say the least i mean realy what happened to the half brother where did he go did he run or did the law catch up with him did any1 get thier cumuppance and also did Millenium go to print with their expose of the sex trade and higher authorities ..... Having said that up till the very end i was hooked very enjoyable film would much prefered a more detailed ending tho for that reason i give it a 7/10 could have been more ...

Saw this at a 1/2 empty Cineworld in Edinburgh this morning.

Loved it. Excellent dramatisation and acting and the Swedish settings just felt so right for the story.

Agreed the ending was a little up in the air but then so was the end of the first one and given most people know there are more books, it's not too hard to guess one outcome.

The subtitles are not at all distracting as the story and acting were so compelling. the Americans are going to have to try really hard to pull off the remake!

9/10 from me.

I agree i usualy dont go to see films that come in parts for that reason but this one appealed to me so much i couldn't resist just hope we dont have to wait too long for the next 1 :D my OH couldnt realy get why the ending was so short i did try explaining to him about the books but well banging head and wood springs to mind ;)

Quite literally peeing my pants with excitement at the thought of seeing this tomorrow! My OH now just rolls her eyes when I mention it, which I may have done about ten times or so this weekend. Thanks so much again to a_person for snagging me tickets as I was offline when the code came up!

Saw this in Glasgow this morning and agree with others about the ending. I have read all 3 books but it was a wee while ago and not sure if some of the stuff I expected in this film is actually from the 3rd book. Had seen a few comments online slating the 2nd and 3rd movies but I thought it very good and can't wait now for the 3rd one.

Very excited abut seeing this tomorrow, really liked Girl with the Dragon Tattoo but haven't read the books. Glad the reviews haven't given to much away!
