It's absolutely chucked it down for the last two days. Not sure how much fun it will be in Vicky Park tomorrow if it is heavily raining but for all those going to LED, good luck!

^^ well that's what I was thinking! I think if you are really into dance music and have been looking forward to this then of course, a little (or a lot!) of rain isn't going to put you off but the casual person, particularly those who got their tickets for free may reconsider. Hopefully the rain will let up tomorrow and Sat.

Ok, just got in from LED. Had a fantastic time, but I think it was more for the company than the music. I'm not really into electronic dance music but Calvin Harris and David Guetta's sets had music that is more or less mainstream so even if it is not your thing, I'd say just go down with a few friends and have a good sing-a-long.

Didn't get there until the evening. I can see why they were giving away free tickets, it definitely wasn't packed in the park (wonder if they are going to make any money on this, maybe it will be first and last LED festival in Victoria Park).

Went to the box office and there was a bit of queue for SFF and I think orange (?) tickets. No one seemed to be in the p*ying queue, lol. They did ask for ID anakin. Didn't see anyone get turned away for not having ID so not sure how strict they are with people who did not have any to show.

You are allowed to take in one 500ml bottle of water and that's it. They will chuck any other refreshments you have away! They take the caps off bottles so if you are going perhaps hide a spare cap on your person (the bag check is pretty thorough) and I was asked if I had any other food or drink. As per usual with these events the prices for food and drink is a rip off so try to eat before you come in. Don't even think the choice of food was that great anyway.

There are fairground rides and because it was not crowded you didn't really need to queue at all. I think there are two main stages from what I could tell. The one to the east of the entrance is the main stage the other is a tent to the west.

The crowd for David Guetta grew and I was in the middle/back of the crowd but I still had a fairly good view of him. Highlight of his set for me was a good sing-a-long to a dance version of the Red Hot Chilli Pepper's Otherside. The opening verse of that song had everyone in my area screaming the lyrics - more so that some of the more modern Guetta collaborations, lol.

Although the weather held up today (thankfully it didn't rain as heavily as it did on Wednesday/Thursday evening) Vicky Park is quite muddy so think about your footwear (not sure you need to pull out the wellies but you may want to consider it as any shoes you do wear are going to be marked). Maybe it will dry out further tomorrow.

Wonder if it will be a bit more busy tomorrow, I know a few people who b*ght tickets for Saturday for Aphex Twin but were less keen on Friday.

Hope you all have fun tomorrow!

Great review and thanks for the heads up. I am assuming they are not charging for the fairground rides?
