Don't get me wrong, she wasn't bad, she was proficient but not an Oscar nom performance. I await with bated breath when Oscar "season" starts

I was rather scared when it started getting a bit creepy, but the ending didn't do it for me. It reminded me of a Hammer Film, either The Devil Rides out or something like that from the 60's. I loved all the performances, especially Cotton, he was great. Now after the Q & A, I've sort of changed my mind at the ending, having listened to what it was meant to be. I may see it again sometime when its on DVD, and see it it made more sense vxI dont get to see many previews as my signature reflects, so it would be nice to meet yourself and others when I do get a preview :)

right , a deep breath here as I spout my very unpopular feelings regarding Best Actress noms. I rarely find taht there are 5 Oscar Worthy performances and at least 2 of them are making up the numbers. Not the actors fault, but there's not as many good roles for women as there are for men. especially when they get to a certain age.
How many female Oscar winners are there who then carry on to make really rubbish films afterwards? LOL I can think of some men as well come to that.

Please dont' come looking for me with a stick, its only my opinion, more born out of frustration at the Hollywierd way of looking at things

Re: The Last Exorcism
although this film is not one of my favourites i do agree if any1 on it deserves an oscar it has got to be the reverend my god i knew it was a film but he damn near got an Alleluia Amen from me for bread and butter pudding lol he certainly did have a way of pulling you into the character i realy enjoyed his portrayal of the reverend especialy in the first 30 mins of the movie

Re: The Last Exorcism
Saw this at Birmingham last Tuesday. There was a little confusion as Switch was showing at the same time which resulted in a few people leaving once it had started, think they had been misdirected.
Was expecting a good horror, what I saw though was nothing of the sort. There was way too much talking and not enough scares and the ending totally ruined it for me. I mean if they had just left it without the ending it may have been an ok movie but the ending left you feeling like, what happened, was she or wasn’t she possessed?
Haven’t seen Paranormal activity but have seen Blair Witch and for me it was just too similar, especially the end scene where the bloke is running with the camera and when it drops.
This film was a let down and certainly not “the scariest film of the year,” that it was marketed as.

Re: The Last Exorcism
This was the second film that I saw today.
Documentary style, shaky, blurry, hand held camera reminiscent of Blair Witch, Rec 2 and unfortunately about as good.
Another supposed horror movie without any real scary bits - Well done for that!
I found the fake Reverend Cotton character quite amusing though.
The film is head and shoulders above "The Last Airbender", about on a par with "The Hole" I'd say.
5 out of 10.

It's never the last exorcism, they might be doing a sequel:
