Totally agree with you Valda, the breakup was far more interesting than how the band started

I quite liked it o/ deffo better than the Ian Dury and the Blockheads film we saw earlier in the year but then again this kinda music is much more my bag maaaan. Got a wee bit self-indulgent and spinal tappy in the middle but I've seen a lot worse. It's the kind of lifestyle I dreamed of as a youngster (and still do a bit I guess  ) Thought they might've given Lita Ford a bigger part and they never mentioned her post Runaways stuff (err mebbe cos Joanie was the director or summat and she mightn't like her so much) oh and where was the classic "I Hate Myself for Loving You"? oh and why do films of this genre always use "Now I Wanna Be Your Dog" when it's a spaced out drug scene *sigh* erm 7/10 from a biased Jettette. Altogether now......"I love Rock n Roll put another dime in the jukebock baby!!!!" ;)

Not my type of film at all, I like to see different types of films and am quite often pleasantly surprised but this was dire!!

Biopics are generally hit and miss for me, mostly miss, and this wasn't as good as I'd hoped it would be...
the girl who played Joan Jett was excellent, she got her personality spot on, and if you're a fan of Joan Jett you'll already know this. Likewise if you've ever been in a band, you'll recognise some of the shit that comes with it, so to then imagine these girls doing a band back in the 70s, that took some balls, there's no denying that. The music still sounds good and Joan Jett will always be a rock'n'roll icon to me. A great story could have been told here, but instead a bit of a missed opportunity... even my friend who's a die-hard fan wasn't all that impressed, but at least we didn't hate it... 5/10 at best. And raj101, you should have stayed til the end! Ignore the lights being turned on and the mass exit...
