Dinner for Schmucks

Just came back from the screening at Paramount Pictures (courtesy of studentbeans) Piccadilly Circus. Kind of a private smallish screening room. very spacey and comfy seat and a big screen. We were served bagel/sandwiches, free flow of drinks... wooo my kind of winning screening

The movie was so funny (even the scud lamp... who'll b*y that???). Barry is so funny and blur. I love the scene when Darla asked him to act along in a role play... instead he tried to reason with her.

Barry: You're too old to be schooling
Darla: You're my teacher... I'm naughty. sp*nk me
Barry: No no... I work with the IRS. But I like to be a penguin

And he still kept the smile serious look on his face.... Mid of the story, I hated Barry, for being too clueless and keep causing trouble. I laughed so hard but I hated him. I wish the movie end soon cause I just want everything to work out. Kieran the artist is such a random character and yet he's funny in his own world. His paintings were so self-absorbed. who do that??? And David Williams is seriously hillarious too.
I have to say the stuffed mice is a great touch as a narrator to begin and end the story. Though i have a terrible phobia toward mouse, I still watched it cause the portrayals were so good and details. Bravo to the artist

My hubby and I totally enjoyed ourselves tonight and we were laughing all the way (he loved it more...). It's an easy 9/10

I am well jealous too! Last time I only got some nuts and crisps, definitely no sandwiches and bagels.

We made it to Paramount in the end, talk about last minute emails and texts!! And weren't those seats comfy!?

We both liked the film a lot, Steve Carrell was just excellent, there's a bit of Rowan Atkinson in his character, and almost everything he does or says is really funny... can't fault the rest of the cast, and I will have to go and see this again in a couple of weeks... 8/10

I also went to see this at paramount pictures.
Loved the intimate venue and i agree the seats were so lovely!
I had a couple of glasses of wine and found the film very funny indeed. Steve Carell played Barry wonderfully. He kind of annoys you because of his stupidly but at the same time you can't help but feel for him and what he has been through.
Paul Rudd, you can't help but feel for his character Tim, with Barry crashing into his life!
Darla was insanely brilliant, her crazy facial expressions were a picture.
And Kieran played by Jemaine Clement was a highlight for me. I'm a big fan of flight of the conchords so i maybe a bit biased but i thought he played his part so well, i laughed so much everytime he appeared on screen. Such an eccentric character, the hair, the beard, the clothes, the pictues. I think he just has great comedy timing.
David Walliams was not that bad, the his and her tans were great

My boyfriend and i both enjoyed it. 8/10

Hey guys :) im a newbie ;D

I'll be seeing this tonight at the showcase with my BF tonight so I can give my verdict :)
Ive heard good and bad things about it.
Good from movie sites like this one, and bad from reviews and/or people who've seen the original.

As I havent seen the original, and I fell in love with the trailer(Steve Carrel's infectious laugh at "He's eating paper!") I have a feeling this is my kind of movie

So, will this be the first film of 2010 that I have to p*y money to go and see because I missed a free screening and I've run out of cinema vouchers? Those that have seen it...is this the one to force me to hand over some money?
