Jonah Hex
Jonah Hex
Didn't see it for free (well slightly - 2 for 1 ticket at odeon Monday to Friday), but wish i could have my 80 minutes of life back. Terrible film almost as bad as Wild Wild West. A real case of what were they thinking.
Josh Brolin as Hex - perfect; John Mac - villian - he can play this part all day and steals each scene; Megan Fox - can't act at all.
Poor plot which is a shame when so much comic-book material available, supernatural powers for Hex who's stupid idea was that.
Don't go its crap.

Re: Jonah Hex
Just so as we can resurrect the glory of great westerns of the past which Jonah Hex appears to be trying to bury, just take one look at Weirdfilm's avatar, will help regain that love. I have the music of The Good, the bad, and the ugly as my phone ringtone
Greatest Westerns (Sorry but I really mostly love the Italian made (Spaghetti) westerns over the American made ones!):
Once Upon a Time in the West
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
For a Few Dollars More
Shane
A Fistful of Dynamite (somewhat obscure and butchered in several versions but a great Leone film)
Outlaw Josey Wales
The Searchers
Take any one of the above and I guarantee you will never see the like of it made again...they just dont make em like they used to
Twice I used that sentence this week, the other time was with Back to the Future, lol.
And for guitly pleasure: Trinity Films with Walter Hill and Buid Spencer, Django series, and any other Spaghetti with Lee Van Cleef, Franco Nero, Eastwood etc.

Re: Jonah Hex
I've only really seen and appreciated the Sergio Leone Spaghetti Westerns. I haven't really explored the genre much farther than that, I'm sad to say (I should have by now) but I did watch my first American Western, High Noon, tonight. I thought the tension-building was excellent. I will broaden my gaze!

Re: Jonah Hex
weirdfilms33 sounds like you have a large back catalogue to watch, even John Wayne had some classics as well

Well give him a chance, he's only 14, lol. I envy weirdfilm33, actually, knowing that their is a wealth of old classics yet to discover, and given his enthusiasm, will get through much of them soon enough
