I also went to the Trafford centre, very disappointed. I've tried contacting sff but for some reason the message wouldn't send.

Saw this at Whiteley's this evening. Poor turnout, maybe 20 people dotted around the place. My friend loved it, he lived in Belvedere during the time and could see the Ford Factory and sign from his bedroom! Inspiring to learn about the events leading to the Equal p*y Act - however, 40 years on inequality in p*y between men and women still hasn't been eliminated.

Saw this at Wimbledon tonight. It did start out as a fairly good turnout until the start was delayed as the film hadn't been delivered. Slowly people began to leave and I think by the time the film finally started some time after 7.30pm about a quarter of the audience had gone home which was a shame.

I absolutely loved this! It was the perfect brit film i.e. based on fact with characters you could care about with just enough humour to keep it from being too serious. Strong performances from many of the cast reinforced the worthiness of seeing it and reiterated that us women are almost certainly the stronger sex when it comes to fighting for our principles.

Staggering to think that some 40 years after the original legislation true Equal p*y still does not exist in many sectors.

9/10 from me.

A very empty screening at Lothian Road, Edinburgh tonight. Think a lot of people must have been to Westerhailes to see Charlie St Cloud with sky.

Loved this film - felt like applauding at the end. Strong women who stood up for their rights to get equal p*y. Shows just how much things have changed since the late sixties. The husband who thought he was a saint because he never hit his wife and was unable to wash a shirt for himself. Loved the dresses and the reference to C & A's where everyone always b*ght their clothes. The black and white TV that you had to press a button to change channels - no remote control!! Brilliant 9 out 10

Well we three loved it. We thought it witty, funny, well acted and really uplifting.

Bravo BBC films!

Oh wow I loved this film. It was nice to say hi to a few FMUKers at the start, and I had been looking forward to this for ages. I think Covent Garden was pretty full and there was a nice atmosphere there.
I thought the acting was superb. The characters were engaging and well-rounded. The central performances were fantastic and so was the supprting cast. It was a great Britflick mix of drama, strong characters and gritty humour.
I liked the use of real news footage, and I also enjoyed the interviews with real people at the end.
It was fun to be absorbed into the 60s fashions and music, though it was before my time, but my friend was reliving the era and reminiscing about her pink hotpants!
I also felt a huge debt of gratitude to those women for fighting their cause, but also deeply frustrated that we are still having the debate about equal p*y for women.
I cannot think of anything I would change to make this film any better so I'll have to give it 10/10. This is precisely why film companies should offer these free preview screenings because I think the word of mouth positive feedback is priceless.
