Yep thats what I mean, can't really close eyes and not watch as it's crucial to the whole film

Re: 127 Hours
The film does look really interesting, and I wish my stomach was strong enough to take it, but I even fainted when I had a prick test on my finger to test my blood sugar levels and there was one single drop of blood. Wimp!
Unfortunately, my super-squeamishness does influence my choice of which films to watch in the cinema, as it's hugely embarrassing to be picked up off the floor, and I would worry myself into a total tizz if I went to see this.

Re: 127 Hours
Danny Boyle's films are generally disturbing and feature often gruesome scenes... but it seems like he's gone on an entire new level with this one.
I will go and see it because of the great reviews it's getting, but with caution. Like, enough to make me sit on the end of a row.

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2012" club. I saw 32, which is rather delightful.. I beat Mr. Glass on free films but he narrowly inched me out on total films seen.

Re: 127 Hours
True, but if you think about Shallow Grave, Trainspotting and 28 days later (and plenty other gory scenes in his other movies too) generally he's not shy of violencesuperhero wrote:Slumdog wasn't tooooo gruesome

I'd be interested in this film if it weren't for Boyle, I just can't stand his work, he's yet to make a film of more than ok quality, Sunshine got close though.

Did you not like Slumdog Millionaire then? I thought it was fab. But hey we're all different.
