Cross promotion? or they might be using SFF for their bigger concerts from now? but some of their concerts are just for 20 people, so no point really to get SFF to sort something out with 20 people, when they can just get people to email in

Guess we will see how it all works out - I think it's great that they are doing other cities as well for concerts etc. I always feel a little guilty when all the concerts, plays and comedy shows on offer from SFF seem to be for London only.

I was thinking about starting a list of all the free offerings from this thread as there is loads but I can't decide whether I should just do it chronologically like I do with the films here: http://www.fmuk.org.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=3342
or whether I should list the plays like so:
Onassis
Novello Theatre, on Thursday 30 Sep 7.30 PM
Novello Theatre, on Friday 1 Oct 7.30 PM
Novello Theatre, on Saturday 2 Oct 2.30 PM
Novello Theatre, on Saturday 2 Oct 7.30 PM

What do you guys think? Date or play name?

I have just been reading their small print, they are doing those annoying VIP £1.50 text alerts for their shows too *sigh* and we've been getting a good run with their shows recently. Hope it continues that way.... definitely not joining this VIP charging scheme...

Well I haven't given them a phone number so not worried about that. Funny thing is though, I have just tried to login with my details and it's not letting me. Teething problems?

I just mean the idea of them charging. I know they don't charge for the total film screening texts, but I still get them! how annoying when I've never told Total film my phone number (or even SFF as far as I can remember)

Caroline O'Connor was superb. Great voice and excellent show. No wonder she received a standing ovation at the end.

I was there as well this afternoon, on Syd's recommendation.

We had gone to the box office at 3pm when there was no queue yet and he first wanted to give us seats in row BB, that's the second from the front - gee God no. Your eyes are basically level with the stage floor there! Instead we got seats in row C which is way closer to the stage than I wanted to be, as I was afraid of neckache, but it was either that or row T or something. We were right at the end of that row so OH got a fab seat with no one in front and oodles of legroom - I envied him so but he needed the legroom more than I did. When we returned from a quick Pizza Express meal at 3.35pm, the ticket queue was quite lengthy!

We liked the show, but with a one woman-show you inevitably get a bit of self-centredness - "It's all about me, I love show biz, and Judi Dench stole my Laurence Olivier Award". I didn't know she had a role in Moulin Rouge and as she quite rightly said, "I was the only one I hadn't heard of". She did a competition where someone won a CD: "Come to the stage door after the show, darling, and I will sign it for you - and the CD as well". She did various costume changes but all her dresses were black! What a terrible decision that must be every day: "Shall I go for the black one or the black one? Or maybe the black one?" She introduced and thanked all her musicians, and the ugliest one turned out to be her husband, LOL. It was an entertaining 2 hours but I am not sure I would have pa*d for it.

I imagine it's very unlikely!!!. I was in shock when realised that tickets to see the same concert in vue via sat link which were on sale in my local vue cinema at 15 pounds per ticket are now completely SOLD OUT, and this is for a biggest screen in the local cinema (not empire screen 1, but still... )... I did manage to get 2 tickets (NOT brilliant seats!) for the local vue about 3 weeks ago and already! missed out on premier seats and back rows :wall: and most of nice big middle bit... checked again last week - completely gone! 8O the small sign with ticket in the red circle crossed out... didn't even see these "sold out" signs before...
So check your local vue for Sunday 3.10.10 7pm and if any tickets still there and you want to see it - grab it!
I am halfway through watching this at my local Vue, having won tickets :D It is certain well worth coming to see something like this on the big screen. Indeed, I think it might be preferable to sitting in one of the cheap seats at the O2 watching the live event.

Well done Bevvy I wish I'd gone now. I may try and get tickets for The Barbican and the Touring version, and watch this when the DVD comes out. I've already got the 10th Aniversary DVD so this will be a welcome addition vx
