First post...

I was all in all pretty disappointed. I was hoping for more of the tension and pace of the first film. This didn't really do it for me on that score. Didn't think there was enough of Gekko up to his old tricks either. Glimpses here and there but hardly the real villian of the first. Am also getting a bit bored of Shia LaBeouf's limited acting range now. He seems have that same anguished look in all his films!

Overall a decent enough film, if a little long - was just hoping for a bit more. Is it right there going to be another one?

I don't think I've seen the first film, so I quite enjoyed this film as there's nothing to compare it with. At least a financial drama isn't what you would normally find at your local multiplex . Of course you would expect Oliver Stone to villainise the bankers and make some political points and conspiracy theories. I enjoyed Michael Douglas' performance but was disappointed with Shia LeBeouf and Carey Mulligan and I thought the happy ending wasn't in keeping with the rest of the film. Now I just have to catch the original Wall Street. 7/10
