Looks like everyone who went to the Greenwich screening is complaining!

I was at the screening at the O2 Greenwich too..........aaaaarrrrgggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Enough said!

About the film....... I thought it was sweet and clever and funny. Shame we didn't see it in 3D in the end, as I think the rollercoaster bit might have been fun. I loved the little minions (and I can imagine them being all over the toy shops for Christmas - I want one!) I think the characters were drawn in quite an unusual and old-school way, which is quite unusual.
I thought the story idea was original and interesting, and I think the film appeals to kids and bigger kids like me.

Cineworld 2/10
Despicable Me 8/10
(unfortunately I was tired, my eyes were hurting from straining them at the appalling picture, and I was cheesed off, so I think all of that has stopped me from giving this a higher mark)

weirdfilms33 wrote:Just complained to Cineworld. I think that the reason the staff attitude was so bad was that we didn't p*y for the film. No kidding, I still thought it was disgraceful, their behaviour, but I'm sure that if we had pa*d to go and see it and this had happened they would have at least handed out refunds. But no, they couldn't care less..
It should not matter. We didn't p*y for the film, but we were there courtesy of Sky, who probably pa*d/subsidised it, and customer care is still valid whether it is free or not.

I also made a complaint to both Sky and Cineworld, as I went out of my way to see this in 3D and was really looking forward to it.

It's a real shame some of you didn't get to see it in 3D, it is a fabulous film, but I think the 3D really topped it off. My kids were giggling all the way through but at some of the 3D parts they were absolutely squealing.

I hope you manage to get compensated. Very true prettyxcool, you may not have pa*d, but Sky must have pa*d something, the tickets from Sky are meant to be a loyalty reward, not just a freebie.
Preferred Cinema's now Paignton or Exeter!

Frankly, I wasn't suprised at the rudeness of staff at o2 Greenwich. I think the staff who work there are from the previous Vue who weren't made redundant but just moved across companies. Even when it was Vue, I found a fair amount of the staff arrogant, unable to understand simple instructions and severely incompetent. If anyone I ever managed behaved like that to a customer (and where I work we actually provide a FREE service), I would most certainly ensure they learn what customer service is about.

4) Odeon Greenwich or Odeon Surrey Quays

Another email:
Dear subscriber,

Firstly, thank you for entering your feedback on Despicable Me at Greenwich O2. We always read the feedback and we were very sorry and disappointed to hear about your experience at this screening. We are currently investigating this further with Cineworld who operate the cinema and with Universal Pictures who supplied the film, and will reply to you again when we have been able to establish how and why this technical problem occurred.

Yours sincerely,

The Rewards from Sky team

"The technical problem" was only half the problem though, what about the rude staff?

I also got this response from Sky in answer to my email complaint:
Thank you for your email. We’re very sorry and disappointed to hear about your experience at the screening. We are currently investigating this further with Cineworld and will reply to you again when we have been able to establish how and why this occurred.

Kind Regards

Again, no mention of my complaint about the staff. I suppose they are leaving that to Cineworld Management?

Cineworld Customer Service has just sent me an email apologising but offered one complimentary ticket as recompense, so I can return to the cinema, as their guest, "with a view to having a more pleasurable experience". So I have to go on my own!
