I like how just after receiving my Time Out rejection email for the screening on the 21st, there's a new code released. I had my tickets already anyway, but it's still amusing.

Found this film painfully slow and surprisingly dull given that it was about assassins. It felt like they had no story and were just padding it out, including the pointless nudity, just to fill 1 hour 30. 4/10.

I was bored too... Given it's a film about a serial killer, I expected a lot more action and excitement. It was very predictable.

I wish I had read some reviews on imdb about this movie to avoid wasting Sunday morning watching this. I usually like artsy movies, but this was such a snoozefest. My oh fell asleep in the middle and after 10-15min woke up and asked "what did I miss?". "nothing. go back to sleep." I replied.

Thought this was excellent. A slow-burn thriller for sure, but then I knew that going in. One more interested in mood and atmosphere than spills and thrills and all the better for it. The action when it happened was economical and effective. A nicely understated performance from George Clooney. Beautifully shot which is hardly surprising with Anton Corbijn in the director's chair. Wasn't bored for a second and never felt it dragged at all despite the deliberately slow-pacing.
Admittedly a couple of characters were fairly one-dimensional. The kind priest, the hooker with a heart of gold.
Also the symbolism was a tad heavy-handed. Butterflies they change from one thing into another. Clooney wants to leave the life of an assassin behind and live a simpler life. Okay we get it, no need to keep showing it.
Overall though I liked this a lot.

Good portrayal of a lonely and paranoid assassin, I appreciated the slow pace for a sunday morning, the tension builds nicely before reaching the inevitable logical conclusion. Better than expected, 7/10.

Seen this at a packed empire.

Wasn't expecting much as the trailer didn't give much away. It was very slow paced though not sure it could have gone any faster. The characters weren't that interesing enough.

Clooney played the character well and totally agree with kevinknapman's review!

Well for a thriller this was really non-thrilling. The first five minutes gave me hope but the rest of the film was so boring. The script was awful and I thought Clooney looked awkward and odd running with a gun in his hand. He simply didn't convince me. We were really disappointed and wished we hadn't bothered.
