I think you could do a kids or animated film as well, like Wall.E, Bolt or Son of Rambow. It's not just kids loving these films but it will include them.
Or why not a documentary like End of the Line or Age of Stupid, or even The Yes Men Fix the World, that's funny as well. It's only just coming out in the cinemas but I doubt it will have a big distribution. I saw it at a SROA screening with both Yes Men present, and there is a special screening at the Greenwich Picturehouse on Tuesday with a satellite Q&A with the Yes Men. In a few months from now you could put that on I am sure!

I once went hiking with M. C. Escher. It was uphill all the way there and uphill all the way back.

Up should be out by May 2010! That was a really awesome film and goes out to most age ranges. I think the majority will enjoy it. Perhaps you can use that in May?

I didn't like Vicky Cristina Barcelona either. What about the Curious Case of Benjamin Button instead?

Yes, UP is a great film and should be enjoyed by old and young. It comes out in October I think.
Ben Button is a bit long and dreary, what about Frost/Nixon?

What about the Godfather? :D Or does it just have to be recent films?

What about Anything for Her instead then? It's in French, was it not (with subtitles)? I've not watched it myself but Beate said it was good.
