Whether the film is free or not, I go to enjoy it and watch and hear it. I do not want to listen to chewing, sweet wrappers, popcorn or any other distraction. If you cannot sit for 2 hours without eating then you have a problem. Even diabetics can get themselves ready before the film starts and suck silently on a wine gum if necessary.
The cinema makes a profit by selling muck to the public, I understand, but please finish it before the opening credits. Often the opening has significant information about the plot, and sometimes the dialogue is not as clear as we might wish. Thank you all for reading and your consideration.

Was supposed to see this at the Paramount Screening Rooms last night but couldn't make it. Decided to go to the pa*d previews this morning instead. Luckily I had my Complimentary tickets from the CokeZone competition and used those (despite the useless Vue customer service person I spoke to on the phone who claimed the T&C's on the CokeZone said I couldn't use it on a 3D film. Which was a blatant lie).
Really enjoyed the film. Some nice in-jokes for the parents that were never over-done (I especially liked Will Ferrell's Marlon Brando impersonation and the Karate Kid reference) and enough slap-stick to keep the kids happy. Some great voice-work from Ferrell, Tina Fey, Jonah Hill and Brad Pitt (Although for me David Cross as Minion completely stole the movie). Also thought the 3D was pretty good at times, especially when it was swooping in and out of the skyscrapers. It would also be just fine without it though.
It may not be particularly original but it was great fun.

I don't think you are in the real world G1, if someones chewing upsets you.

You probably don't have kids either or you would realise that your statements are bizarre.

It takes all sorts as they say.

Yes it takes all sorts, but guardone hasn't offended anyone so there is no reason to get personal, thank you.

slup slup.... oops.... good movie. i can see why its getting some bad flack, its being compared to Despicable Me and does share some ideas, which was mariginally better. but its different, this is a superhero parody, not a spy parody.

but def good enough, though it starts a bit weak with the unnecessary voiceover intro.
fav 5 films of the year - Tenet, Bill n Ted 3, Invisible Man, JoJo Rabbit, ?

It seems I have a different opinion about Megamind to most others on here.

I thought it was quite good, humorous and entertaining.

That came as a bit of a surprise because I'd thought it would be similar to Despicable Me which I thought was poor and disappointing.

I saw the first half hour of Megamind in 3D with the remainder in 2D with half of Narnia and the whole of the Tourist in between. Don't worry not a technical glitch - just my way of minimising waiting times between screenings and done with the full sanction of Cineworld. o/

7 out of 10. :D

This was my last film of 2010 with the last of the vouchers that ran out today (don't worry I have some more for next year), and both OH and I thought it was great. It was a fun story, and the 3D was actually not bad in this. Really entertaining, although the noisy people around us did their best to try and spoil it for us but they didn't succeed, ha ha! It's fun to root for the bad guy for once (although of course he isn't really, aww), and the kids got really into it. When Megamind calls for Minion, I could hear a little kid join in: "Minion? Minion?" LOL

I have never seen that many 3D trailers before a movie though. Tangled, Gnomeo and Juliet (too weird for words), Rango and a couple of others. Is nothing just in 2D anymore?
