No such luck Biggins - cleared 8" deep snow off the car at 9.30am, but by the time I'd finished it had started snowing heavily again - what's that they say about painting the Forth Bridge
I'm jealous you made it in

You are a trooper!

Yeah, it was pretty slippy coming from Inverleith up through the New Town. It was much better by 1 when it finished though! I see more snow for tomorrow!

I hope so, I'm such a big kid, can't wait to make snowmen, have even got a few pairs of latex gloves from work at the ready to go over the kids gloves so the snow doesn't soak through to quick and we can stay out longer!!
My grandfathers family are all from County Durham and tell stories of how much snow they got, my great aunt is 87 and now down here too, even in all that bad snow last year made a point of going over the shop for her paper even though we all volunteered saying 'this is nothing, when I was up north.......' lol
Preferred Cinema's now Paignton or Exeter!

Another big overnight fall up here taking it to about a foot deep.
After missing yesterday's screening at the Cameo Edinburgh, it's looking likely the same fate awaits tomorrow's screening of The Next Three Days at Ocean Terminal.
Due to see Narnia on 4/12 and Catfish on 14/12 - call me a pessimist but I'm not printing the tickets until the last minute!

I made it in by 7.30am and so did most of my team. I was dead proud of em, though to be fair, they did say that the thought of phoning to ask me for a day off was worse than crashing or getting stranded - only right, I say - ha. I got sent home as the heating was off, which I was pretty annoyed at, I told the big bosses that the staff would soon warm up if they worked a little faster, seemed to be a lot of people crying in the tea point after that, can't imagine why.
Anyway has anyone else had thundersnow??? we had some last night and first thing this morning it was the most intense noise and light I have ever seen, just mental.
love Scrooge x

I'd never heard of thunder snow until a friend mentioned it today. I did hear that it put police phone lines down somewhere in Scotland.
Good on you for treking into work, so many people use it as an excuse these days. I don't recall schools closing when I was a kid and teachers always turned up no matter how far they had to travel. When I worked in Civil Service you were expected to go to nearest office if your own was too far.
