Thinking of all the other members who are grappling with it and with far worse conditions - take care and if it's too bad, don't risk it.
Yes I got some snow!! :D Not alot though, enough for a few snowballs....on the radio it said Kent & Surrey were going to get the worse than us!!
Preferred Cinema's now Paignton or Exeter!

Well it seems miracles are possible; it's snowing like crazy here in South London and it's actually settling, too. I have the day off because of illness but my school NEVER closes anyway. Even with teachers slipping on the ice, our school wouldn't close for an apocalypse.
Go ahead, make my day - by visiting my blog: http://jacobthehobnob.wordpress.com/

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2011" club. I saw 20, interestingly enough. My more realistic target was to see more free films than TheyCallMeMrGlass. I lost.

The snowflakes are coming down very heavily in West London, but is not settling. It is quite pretty in Portobello Road and the tourists are covered it in and trying to take photos in it.

That terrifies me. I'm so scared of having another bad fall. Even with my ice chains and boots on, I'm still apprehensive.

Yep snow snow snow in Peckham (s.london). Hope my new caterpillar boots are effective when all this snow turns to ice tomorrow. One thing's for sure, no outdoor running for me, not for a while it seems.

Runners amaze me. I'm not sure whether they're mad or just fanatical, or both. Didn't see any this morning but they were out last year during the snow, when I was scared even to walk. And on Sunday afternoon when I was out walking (and it was bitter then), I saw no fewer than 4 separate runners, all in shorts and t shirts!

I took exactly the same view as you did...until I became a runner myself in the last year! I have been running regularly in sub zero temperatures lately. Its ok as long as hands and head is covered well where the heat dissipates the quickest. I wear a synthetic t shirt body warmer and maybe a sweater on top if really cold. But while running we're warmed up. Its when I stop then I feel the cold, so I basically I dont stop until I am back at home! I do have a wind proof jacket that I tie around my waste when I run and then quickly put it on after the run. A casual runner would probably not do this but runners like myself who are training for a marathon are too driven to let the weather be an obstacle and that's why you will some of us nutters running in an artic freeze, lol.

But to run in snow, yes that is crazy, I'm not that driven to slip and break my leg!!

Finally we get the snow in my neck of the woods and I am stuck at work. Have pleaded that I (and other staff) should be allowed to go home and play in it as it will help dispel stress levels but no boss is a killjoy.

So excited - can't wait to get home and have a snowball fight with the kids - luckily I finish at 3 today!

P.S. As you can guess I love snow!
