SNOW IS FOR SLEDGING, NOT WORKING OR DRIVING
Loving the snow

Have to work from home - my bus never showed this morning...he...heee...
destresserai wrote:Finally we get the snow in my neck of the woods and I am stuck at work. Have pleaded that I (and other staff) should be allowed to go home and play in it as it will help dispel stress levels but no boss is a killjoy.
So excited - can't wait to get home and have a snowball fight with the kids - luckily I finish at 3 today!
P.S. As you can guess I love snow!

Just cleared the car and driveway and i'm knackered. I'll see what the roads are like later and decide then if i'm seeing the movie tonight. Its a long drive.

Both schools have advised that afternoon tutor has been cancelled to allow students and teachers extra to get home so they will finish at 2.30 today. Have persuaded boss that this means I have to leave half hour early as well.
Snowball fight here I come and I am so gonna whip the kids in this one! My aim is so much better. So if you see a strange looking 40ish woman and two teenagers running amok in Surrey you had better duck down or face the consequences!

Wonderful destresserai. I remembered the last time it snowed late at night in Central London and settled, and in all experience it never lasts until the morning, so that I and my two boys were out there having snowball fights around midnight! However, to our surprise the next morning, the snow had lasted and there were 5 inches of snow! All the schools were given the day off and my sons went sledging down Primrose Hill, and work called to say I did not need to go in!

The kids and their fathers have been building igloos on our estate!

Sounds like great fun, I'm so jealous.....we now mainly have ice rather than snow!
Preferred Cinema's now Paignton or Exeter!

Had the best snow ball fight with the kids and a few of their friends. Fingers and feet are cold, nose is blue and chilled to the bone but didn't realise any of that until we came home. Now snuggled under the snug-rug with hot chocolate and marshmallows.
Hubby is not having so much fun. He was stranded and has had to abandon the car. He now undertaking a long walk home. Even worse, he has given his scarf and gloves to a young mum who was stranded with a toddler who didn't have any so he is getting colder by the minute!
