Gatwick Airport is shut until at least 06.00 tomorrow. I hope some others are still open or where will all the diverted flights land?

Well it seems the uk can't cope with all this snow again! It is quite slippery today so may have to stay in tomorrow.

Buses on the main roads are running okay but it is the side roads that are the worst as nothing has been done about them.

Got to the cinema last night okay as once I had trekked down my street and on to the main road it was all right as the buses were still operating but just a bit slower than usual. The Universities and schools are all closed again today. Our students exams start on Monday so not sure what will happen then - just have to hope the weather improves by the weekend.

Got all my Xmas Cards written and presents wrapped as I am not venturing out very far today.

My local council made a song and dance about being better prepared for snow than last time: they had stocked up on grit and salt, etc, and had teams on standby. However, they don't appear actually to have done any gritting/salting, not even on the main roads or in town centres, and this is the second snowy day here.

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2012" club. I saw 32, which is rather delightful.. I beat Mr. Glass on free films but he narrowly inched me out on total films seen.

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2011" club. I saw 20, interestingly enough. My more realistic target was to see more free films than TheyCallMeMrGlass. I lost.

Well no Fife Buses as Forth Road Bridge closed and no Queensferry buses either so was a nightmare getting into work.

Then saw my only bus coming when i finished work , ran along the main road 8O 8O and then had to climb up the 18inch drift at the side to get on to the pavement only to fall flat on my face   Lucky for me I was wearing my thermal top and bottom - as still really cold in the office - so did not get hurt and even managed to get on the bus o/ o/

Sitting by the fire now with my glass of red medicine waiting on the Apprentice starting

Not started the Christmas shopping yet and too early to write my cards as got to be in the mood!!

Stay safe and warm everyone
