Re: Music Concerts/Gigs
Was a bit disappointed with 30STM last night
He's adapted an Elvis Presley style approach since the last time I saw them, so i pa*d £22 to hear to crowd sing 90% of everything, waste of money if you ask me :/

Still, at least you got there - there must be lots of people who've pa*d/booked for films/plays/concerts but who couldn't make it. Hope the next trip is more worthwhile!

Re: Music Concerts/Gigs
Looked like a full house last night, I was quite surprised!
Luckily there wernt any train delays cause most of the snow had vanished by the time it started up again, weve got about 4 inches outside now D:
Hope a similar scenario works out for monday! :)

We went, and it was great. I really enjoyed the support act Dry The River. I thought they sounded a bit like Crowded House, and I enjoyed the harmonies and the violin accompanying the guitars.
There was a bit of a delay before Paloma Faith came on, and I thought the sound on the main microphone was a bit dodgy because I couldn't really hear what she was saying in between songs, and her vocal got drowned out a bit by the backing divas. It was fab though. I've been listening to her album all month and really enjoying it, so I knew all the songs and was singing along happily.
I was quite annoyed by the chattering ignoramuses who were sitting at the back drinking and talking all the way through. During the quiet songs at the piano this became really noticeable and I found it really rude. I suppose that's part of the problem when tickets are free and people haven't shelled out £40 for a ticket so they don't have the same attention.
The show was great though. There was a really good energy, and the songs are very catchy. She said she was working on a new album, so I'll be looking out for it.

I was there too! What a great gig! Really enjoyed it and thought the support act was really good too. I agree about the sound, and thought there was too much bass. On the tube home, overheard loads of other attendees chatting about it too and they all seemed to enjoyed it, saying they will download her songs etc. A very good night, despite it being quite cold - there was an awful draught, like someone had left the door/window wide open!cheekyweelassie wrote:superhero wrote:Who's going to Paloma Faith tonight?

That's the way to see a band, why would anyone want to stand in a stadium!? Didn't realise Paradise Lost were still going, saw them few times in the 90s supporting somebody or other...ucakpam wrote:I saw Tiamat at the Underworld on Monday. Decided to go for the 7th time, since the tour is to promote the remastering of Draconian Times (released in 1995) , which happens to be my favourite PL album.
