The Tourist

Frank (Depp) is an American tourist visiting Italy to mend a broken heart. Elise (Jolie) is an extraordinary woman who deliberately crosses his path in order to mislead all those following her former lover, Alexander Pearce, a criminal wanted in fourteen countries who has stolen money from a gangster (Berkoff) and is being pursued by an agent (Bettany). Against the breathtaking backdrop of Venice, Frank attempts to forge a potential romance but soon finds himself a target as he and Elise are caught in a whirlwind of intrigue and danger.
The movie follows the series of manipulations, as characters realise that they are merely pieces being played by an unseen mastermind of the game.

Interesting course for the director following The Lives Of Others winning the foreign Oscar over Pan's Labyrinth a few years ago (and well deserved), I hope it's good.

Well, after seeing the rather silly cliche in the trailer of: "Why are these men trying to kill me" my hopes are average, but only because Johnny Depp's in it. I couldn't give a damn about Angelina Jolie to be honest...

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2012" club. I saw 32, which is rather delightful.. I beat Mr. Glass on free films but he narrowly inched me out on total films seen.

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2011" club. I saw 20, interestingly enough. My more realistic target was to see more free films than TheyCallMeMrGlass. I lost.

Johnny Depp seems to have put on a hell of a lot of weight judging from the stills & trailers for this. Is he just old and fat now, or is this for the role?!

I wanna see it too surprisngly :D not usually my type of film! Might be able to drag my mom to it, if not im sure my best mate will 241 it with me ;) unless theres codes ofcourse! :D
