Re: The King's Speech
I absolutely LOVED this! So poignant, sad and funny. And incredibly well acted. Loved Jeffrey Rush's jokes.
Solid 9/10 for this.

Saw this at Liverpool FACT last night - full house. Thought I would enjoy it having seen the trailer previously but wasn't expecting to be so engrossed - it shows you what great actors were cast in it rather than "stars" Definitely a 9/10 and will be recommended to all my family, friends & colleagues!

Re: The King's Speech
Heavy snow again in Edinburgh. Should never have b*ght the I'm dreaming of a White Christmas Christmas cards as my wish has ceretainly come true
Struggled in to the Omni Centre to see this and guess what the film reel did not turn up there either. Same happened at Wester Hailes last week.
Girl very kindly asked if we would like to see something else that was on. Told her this had happened to me last week and friend got offered tickets at Odeon to come again, so asked her if she could do this. So now have tickets to go to Vue again. Think will wait until better weather as to be honest, as not much fun having wasted journeys in this weather!!

You Scots members are having a really rough time with films not arriving lately, aren't you? A cancellation with some notice would be bad enough, but when you've travelled there in vain, in this weather. Maybe SFF (etc) will have to start adding something to the ticket printout about checking with the cinema nearer the time. You'd think from the number of complaints they would have come up with something by now.

I too am pining. But as it's released on the same day as Next 3 Days and as that film is now having more previews after Xmas, I'm still hoping - however forlornly - for more previews for The King's Speech, too.

Re: The King's Speech
We were looking for you MM. We were offered "The American" with George Clooney and as we had not seen it we thought since we were there we would watch it. Okay film but slow and so disappointed that we still have not seen The King's Speech.marjoreemarjora wrote:Heavy snow again in Edinburgh. Have not had any contact from WH although they took my email address - hoping to get tickets for another film from them.

Re: The King's Speech
Saw this at a packed Gate Cinema in Notting Hill: really loved it, and thought Colin Firth was great.
Sorry to hear about the problems in Edinburgh.
