We had some snow overnight in Leeds, I would class it as a thick dusting of 3 to 5mm. Considering we had it bad 2 weeks ago, i'm a bit relieved.

I know, we Londoners always think we're that little bit better off than the rest of the country but looking at it now, I can hardly see a few feet ahead of me. Its like a giant bucket of snow is falling continuously on my head as I am about to trek to the shops. The snow lord is not holding back on his powers this year

Diane, that was really good of you to help your friends.

Dont forget to check on the elderly neighbours, people. Maybe help them with essential shopping.

Us too. According to BBC, Watford and Uxbridge and surrounding areas will have heavy snow till 9pm tonight.

I am not driving out in this, as you said it is scary !

Went to work on the bus as no trains; came home on the train as no buses! Glad I was sent home early as wouldn't have wanted to get stuck there. My own town centre was gridlocked when I got back, too, so just as well to be on foot by then. Gatwick has shut again, too, despite claims of enhanced snow-clearing facilities since the last spell.

I live in Barnet, North London. It is absolutely crazy here. I went to get my younger brother from Jiu-Jitsu. He is 7 years old, and he said "My goodness, Matt. It looks like a nightmare out there."

I haven't even been out yet, but that comment makes me laugh, I'm imagining people wading thorugh snow and falling around. Only in a jokey way like a cartoon I hasten to add
