Orange Wednesday'd this with my BF tonight and we both really enjoyed it! As expected the 3D was utter rubbish and pointless, the effects made up for it though, and my god michael sheen, i bloody love him :)) that scene alone made my night! all round a good impression from us pair :) can kinda see how disney could milk another film out of it, but i think theyll listen to common sense and leave it be now.
as for the animated jeff bridges, it was good as a first attempt! not been dopne before, the technologys there but they still havent figure out how to simulate skin texture though, he did look like hed had a bit too much work done!
our rating 8/10

hello all.. i joined then disappeared and now im back :D (still a newbie tho :P)

CANT. WAIT. TO. WATCH. THIS. MOVIE.

i cant believe i still havent gone yet :(. im thinking im gona watch it in 2D rather than 3D. 3D hasnt really impressed me yet.. instead it jus ruins the movie experience cz of havin to wear those glasses for barely any 3D feeling.

so any opinions ppl? is this movie betr to b seen in 2D or 3D?

I thinkt he majority would say 3D, it makes the film so dark! unfortunately none of the cinemas near me show it in 2D :S

IMO avatar is the only movie that is good in 3D, if you like sci-fi advenures then youd probably like avatar more
if your a gamer geek(like me) youd probably like tron even though the storyline is a bit squwiff :o

Finally got to see this last week and was overall disappointed. The hype behind the movie was unbelievable and I have always had a soft spot for the original and thought it was amazing when I was a kid. The first ten minutes of the movie were great, but it then became this philosophical piece and was too worthy for it's own good. What we needed was much more of the gaming and especially more of the bikes. The younger version of Jeff Bridges though impressive to begin with, became boring in the end with no way of being able to fully express what the character was trying to portray. Garrett Hedlund was fine, but had no real depth. I thought that Michael Sheen was just brilliant and he looked like he was having a ball. I just wish that the movie had held on to some sense of fun instead of being bogged down with too much worthiness. It also didn't need to be in 3D.
Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads.

Maybe I had high expectations but found the movie mind bogglingly pointless and quite underwhelming. I kept thinking "A really bad version of The Matrix meets Pacman."

I am still undecided on this film, I really cant decide whether its worth bothering with. I loved Avatar but really not sure after reading everyone's opinions whether to give up 2 hours of my life if its rubbish. Can anyone help me in deciding how to spend my well earned cash?
