Just watched this last night and absolutely loved it; Cher and Christine were amazing, the costumes, make up etc were wonderful. I went to see Cher a few years back and she was brilliant then and still has it now.
I agree with Sarah Jack is gorgeous

I didn't know that it was coming on stage.
A real feel good film perfect after a day at work followed by a New Years Eve party.
Free with Odeon vouchers 9/10

This film is getting some surprising support here but why not, if it's a cheerful, feelgood film to take people away from the ghastly weather and grim economic news. I tried to persuade my sister to see it earlier this week but she put her foot down so we saw Love & Other Drugs instead. Shall have to go on my own to Burlesque - it can be my guilty pleasure.

Shame I don't live nearer to you as I would love to see it again! I was supposed to go on Christmas Eve but couldn't use my free tickets hence changed date, I just loved it and I'm sure that you will.

Several (female) colleagues have just been raving about this film. One said she went with her husband and embarrassed him by forgetting herself and clapping after one routine! It's on at the local civic centre near me next week so I shall go then.

Well I managed to watch the first 40 mins of this, before being hit by another technical hitch and the screening was stopped. It wasn't looking great up to that point, Christina Aguilera's acting is quite decent but the script is extremely average and it lacked the showy numbers of productions like Chicago, Moulin Rouge etc, but then again, there were no large production numbers in the first 40 mins. 5/10 for the first 40 mins

Amazing: at long last I have actually found a parent and baby screening I am allowed to attend! I can see this film in the morning if I'm willing to risk the soundtrack being drowned out by the cries of distressed infants. I might give it a go, just to see what it's like, and the time suits me better than the PM performances.
