Re: The Next Three Days
Just saw a TV ad for this film, I was surprised they even mentioned Liam Neeson's name given how small his screen time is....

Re: The Next Three Days
Went to see this today with my best mate, needless to say neither of us were expecting much since its not our 'usual' type of movie'
Got in and seated quickly, the ticket handler was shocked at the fact how small my ticket was(id cut it down to size to fit into my purse) and the cinema was about 40-50% full
we really liked it! the tension build was immense! near the end we couldnt stand waiting anymore, the way they brought all of the points together and didnt give away the whole plan early on was very clever, and kept you on the edge of your seat
think this film might possible fall into the one trick pony category though, once you know the events, the excitement and tension could be lost(similar to shutter island).
However we both enjoyed the movie, we loved the tension, we loved the cleverness so all round 8/10 from us
:)

Re: The Next Three Days
We missed the Sky showing of this film last year when we were snowed in and were lucky enough to get SFF tickets for the Odeon Thurrock Lakeside this morning. Glad we got there early as the cinema quickly filled up and loads of people were turned away. Shame, because they missed a really good film. As I didn't know the ending, I enjoyed all the twists and turns that lasted right up until the last moment. 9/10 for me and would definitely recommend to my friends.
Re: The Next Three Days
Not a film I'd normally go to, but as OH has managed about 3 chick-flicks without a grumble I went along and was pleasantly surprised at seeing that sort of film on the big screen. At two points in the film I physically jumped in my seat
and I thought the suspense build up in the second half was almost unbearable in a 'stop it I like it' kind of way!
Worth a try even if its not your thing!
Only downside was the cinema kept us sitting like muppets until 11.25.

Re: The Next Three Days
Saw this at a pretty packed out Silverlink this morning. Quite a good story line, thought from the trailer there was going to be action throughout, however it did feel like it dragged in parts. Thought Liam Neeson would have been in a lot more than 5 minutes... but was rather pleased Mr Crow managed to get a plan together from that short conversation.. he is just so clever. The film only got going in the last 30 minutes and it was pretty intense. 6/10 from me.

Re: The Next Three Days
Finally got to see this film today, after having to miss 2 previews due to illness. Sadly the Odeon cinema at L'pool 1 was less than 40% full, this seems to be the norm there now for early morning previews, unless it's a children's film. Hope it doesn't stop them from doing them. Loved the film, I'm not usually a Russell Crowe fan but I loved him in this and found the character he portrayed totally believable. On the downside, Liam Neeson... how under used was he? Could of built that part up sooo much more. The ending also had me gripped, couldn't quite decide what the outcome was going to be there were so many twists and turns. Great film. 8/10

Re: The Next Three Days
They've gotten all these "real" people to say how great the film is on their new TV ads, I wonder which screenings did they get these people from?

Re: The Next Three Days
Saw this again on Sunday and, I have to admit, I enjoyed it so much more than the first time around in December, when I could not help comparing it constantly to the French version. This time, I really got into the story for what it was. Russel Crowe gives an excellent performance as the husband who would do anything to get his wife back. Overall, it's an excellent remake. And that car scene is hair raising, even second time round!
