Thanks Beate!
I'd like to propose a new word to describe the phenomenon -
Cinedipity – The fortuitous mistake of inadvertently entering the wrong screening room at a cinema and seeing a “better” film as a result.

So is this worth the view?
I thought the trailer looked like it could be fun - but am not a fan of Cameron Diaz.
Is she in it a lot?

I would say it was. This was not a movie I was in any particular hurry to see, but the OH wanted to watch it, and I'm glad to say that we both enjoyed it.
Don't let the presence of Diaz on the credits put you off, her role seems to fit well enough, imo.

Caught this at WIQ today, even if I was officially watching The Dilemma. This is one of those films that doesn't seem to know what it is. It tries for action comedy, but the action is absurd and the comedy is Seth Rogen saying ''shit'' needlessly. I think the main problem, script aside is that Rogen is not a good actor. Here he plays his character from Knocked Up while pretending to be superhero. However, unlike in Knocked Up, his character is neither likeable nor funny. I thought Jay Chou was good in his role, but despite writing the script, Rogen is totally miscast and should never again venture outside of his pot-com safety zone.
As for the 3D, this was yet another examplee of the studio trying to milk cash from an inferior product. It's beyond pointless in this flick. The bottlecaps were not impressive. 5.5/10

102 Different free films seen in 2010 plus 2 repeat viewings and a few tv show screenings... not too shabby. Thanks to everyone for their contributions here.

Difference of opinion on this film.... I thought it was pants and only worth 2/10 but the teenager loved it and gave it 8/10 not one I will be b*ying on DVD. The jokes were random and unfunny and I really began to feel sorry for the sidekick being stuck with such an idiot!!

3D in general has a severe problem which really bugs me. Whenever an object pans across the screen the image judders so much its unwatchable. This problem was solved years ago with pc's, they just upped the refresh rate so you couldn't notice it, so i've no idea why they don't do that with 3D movies.
