I got tickets for my niece and her family and she said the cinema was a great success all round and both her young boys (6 and 3) loved it as did their parents. She said the 3D was very effective and had them all jumping out of their seats.

Maybe she is just trying to make me feel good but as I recently noticed the prices for a family ticket at Islington Vue(with added costs for 3D films), it would have cost around £35 for a family of 4 on a Saturday so as it was free it seemed a great deal to them!

I wasn't impressed with Yogi Bear much...May be because I didn't watch it as a child?.
But children did watch it! Which is the main thing as I went for them! Got a stupid  question: Where was Justin Timberlake in it? I really want to know!

I must admit if I didn't know Justin Timberlake was Boo Boo I wouldn't have guessed it, but the boo boo bear was cute.

I enjoyed the film and the kids loved it. It was just silly slapstick fun, a bit like Scooby Doo or Top Cat, a nice way to spend a Saturday morning. The Road Runner short at the beginning was funny as well.

We have the Shrek 3d glasses for the kids, they were £2 from cineworld and come in their own little pouch to carry them in your bag without scratching them. They also have kids size plain black ones we were given at Vue towards the end of last year for a preview screening so well worth asking in case they have any behind the counters.

I was indifferent about watching this...only decided to go at 9.45am.

Eh, I remain indifferent after seeing the film. Not up to the standards of other animated films (Toy Story & Shrek spring to mind) but could have been worse. The visual interaction between actors and animated characters was done well and I did chuckle in a few places, but I found the overall story weak and predictable.

I'm so glad this film was only 75 minutes long! :wall:

Better than I expected and I thought the 3D effects were really good. We were the only couple in the cinema without kids.... got a bit addicted to a free film is a free film... should start getting a bit more disconcerning... even the glasses giver outter was laughing.... two adult size please. Oh.... really? lol!

we went to see yogi today, and all of us enjoyed it so much!
i wasn't sure if the two younger ones would as they are only 10 and 12 , and have never seen yogi before, but the film was brilliant!
it had the most 3d effects in a film that i have seen to date, normally, they only have a few.
it was really funny, and i thought just as good as shrek etc... it had the whole cinema laughing, kids and adults alike! i would recomend it to everyone.

Saw this in Edinburgh this morning. Gee, 10 is early for a Saturday!

It was about 75% full but a huge screen room.

The Road Runner cartoon was fab, really enjoyed that and 3D actually make it better I think.

Yogi Bear, well unlike Cats & Dogs 3D they at least gave it a decent story, so it was OK. It wasn't great but it wasn't awful. Thought Dan Akroyd and Justin Timberlake make a good stab at the cartoon voices. The park ranger was a tad too permatanned to be believable, but it was a film about a talking bear!

Not sure what the 3D really added, I'm sure kids will enjoy it but not rave about it so that'll save the parents on the rubbish goodies the shops will be trying to sell around it!
