Usually you get the glasses for free, but there were some disturbing reports lately about a couple of people having to p*y up so I now always carry 2 pair with me from my vast collection.

I have received free 3D glasses from Odeon and Vue cinemas. I believe the incidents where people have been charged at free 3D screenings were by Cineworld.

I always carry a spare pair in my handbag just in case!

That does seem to be the case - Odeon always give you free glasses and then never collect them back in! Bonus!

However, I did get some of the tickets this morning for Rango (metrocentre so not London - didnt steal yours whilst you were busy I promise!) and they dont say 3D on them when they would normally do so.

Seems will be in 2D?

My Tangled tickets did not say 3D either, but it was in fact 3D (and I was the ony person in the cinema actually carrying glasses :D They had to stop the movie and give everybody glasses, it was Cineworld btw).

You may well be right - I can't remember if my Tangled tickets said 3D on them or not now....

Now don't get me wrong - I am liking 3D as an option but I do a) miss the bright colours and b) can be right awkward to wear those glasses over my normal ones - I look even more ridiculous!! 8O

I do miss 2d as well, especially when I am p*ying for the tickets - not only because of the price, but because 2d screenings are quite rare - usually at inconvenient times. Also, there are certain movies I would prefer to not see in 3d as it's completely unnecessary...

Is 03/03 the only date for free screenings to Rango? I really wanted to see this but it is showing at the same time as Monters :-(

Really want to watch it, just don't want to miss Johnny Depp's film.
