I was all for the Olympics back in 2005 when we landed it, but since then it's all been downhill. In the midst of the recession (yeah, I know we're technically out, but I fully expect that the UK plunges back in very soon) and the mounting costs and broken promises, it's just becoming a slap in the face. These ticket prices are just the latest insult to injury, imo.

If only we had just let Paris have it...

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2012" club. I saw 32, which is rather delightful.. I beat Mr. Glass on free films but he narrowly inched me out on total films seen.

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2011" club. I saw 20, interestingly enough. My more realistic target was to see more free films than TheyCallMeMrGlass. I lost.

LOL omg you probably right, I didnt notice the correlation of 2012 on that price tag, damn. I have to admit thats a stupidly high price. I guess its not likely there'll be free tickets on SFF day before, huh ;) No one here has any positive thing to say about the price list...well at least we can all see it for free on BBC...right?

I know it's over a year away but that is no time at all so I thought I would start a thread about it. I know there are also quite a lot of Londoners on here.

BBC have posted the day by day games schedule.

So what are people's thoughts? Excited? Is the whole event over-rated? An overspend of tax-payers money? An opportunity for London to fall short of the standard set by Beijing?

Are there some East Londoners on here who have been inconvenienced by the construction of the stadium?
