Re: Music Concerts/Gigs
I wouldn't know an Usher song to save my life, not my cup of tea, Gary is Usher's lighting designer, that's why I'm going
Not a Kylie fan but I decided to go along as my mates are, it will be a laugh I reckon. I'm more of a Rock fan, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club is my fav group. Love The Killers, Kasabian, stuff like that. Or 90's underground house and Small dark clubs

Re: Music Concerts/Gigs
I used to go clubbing on my own too. I used to go to this one club every week, never pa*d to get in and made so many friends. If I didn't want to talk to anyone, I would just be off on my own dancing. the 90's were so good to mearuif wrote:valda... i have no money for drinks anyway hahah.
yeah i've been to hundred and hundreds of gigs but i hate going on my own. especially club night gigs like this one is. hopefully my mate will tell me he is in the mood for it.
i don't mind going to the cinema on my own but gigs, i don't know why, i just hate it.

i'm going to see the futureheads.a_person wrote:Oh, what gig you going to aruif? I'm going to Usher tomorrow evening. Really looking forward to it!aruif wrote:my gig isn't canceled tomorrow it's back on and i'm going for free... only thing is. i'm now going on my own as everyone else made plans elsewhere. wahhh
I totally get the whole not going alone to gig thing. That's why I hardly ever go.Nobody comes with me. I guess with movies it's because you're sitting in the dark alone and it's hardly like you're moving which is why it's okay to go alone but at gigs, I like to dance and sing with someone!
it's just the standing around on your own in a very social place, exactly that. if i could turn up just as they go on stage, fine and then leave just as they walk off stage. no problem. but i know i'll end up being half an hour early and what the hell do you do for half an hour in a club on your own, surrounded by 20 year olds when you're older than them, and they know it
baahhh
hope you enjoy usher. not my cup of tea but i bet he does a great show!!

Just go with the flow. In my day you could fiddle around with ciggies but now you can play with your phone. As for age, I can remember one of my club mates mother came down to visit. She came down the club and I was older than her hehe. Age is just a number.

Most 20 year olds look older than they are so hopefully that won't be an issue for you! You don't sound that old.aruif wrote: i'm going to see the futureheads.

I've never been to see Usher - this is a first for me but I've liked 90% of his tracks as it is so hoping it will be good. Some Tichy Stryder or something will also be there. Never heard of him.
Hopefully you'll enjoy your concert tomorrow!

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2012" club. I saw 32, which is rather delightful.. I beat Mr. Glass on free films but he narrowly inched me out on total films seen.

Re: Music Concerts/Gigs
i've decided not to go tonight. for 2 reasons.
1. i'm in angony with tooth ache
2. i really can't face going alone, especially with toothache.
